ok, i FINALLY broke the solder bridge i did by accident, the multimeter is now giving a very high resistance between the pins. YAY! im just about to plug in me soldering iron to put those last 2 pesky wires in :p

done! just flashed the chip with firmware 1.5, and ive tried everything, ps1 games, ps2, backups movies, it all works PERFECTLY ! I'm completely chuffed with myself!
i would have taken a pic, but i dont have a camera. :p it was a fairly neat job by my standards as well :p well im off to do some serious gaming dudes, ciao. |

hehe.
im half way thru MGS3 snake eater already :p (ive played it before at my friends house you see) well im going to have to ring all the friends i told that i was chippin me PS2, and tell em i did it myself :p i would never have thought i had the skill or intilligence to do such a thing....im completely braindead. it was working on it from 2am right through to about 6:30 am. finally got those last wires nailed into place. maybe now that i have a bit more confidence, in that i can actually do it, i should do my best mates' PS2 for him (If he'll let me). ps i was sat there agggges on the matrix flash screen. i didnt realise "programing ok" meant it had been flashed, i thought there'd be a percentage of how much it had done or something :p i must have flashed and reflashed that thing 10 times! then it dawned on me, what i had just done lol |
