Or are we cursed to play bugged 1.0 version...

Your are not cursed to play V1.0. You can always update the game and play with your original dvd.
Do you have a original dvd?

Of course, I just forgot to put it in my DVD player, sorry... :D
Anyway, why don't you close this forum, this is request for crack less than 2 weeks from release... I am waiting for 18th, then I am beginning to spam! :)

MouseNo4 15-04-2005 02:30

I am not waiting that long. I will simply have to put up with the enourmous load times with sf3 protection until reloaded wakes up and smells the updates... i mean coffee.

I have looked into the sf3 protection myself so i know how hard it would be to make it work 100% but jesus h christ! This is the slowest cracking of updates and original game that i have ever seen. Even the other groups online seem to simply refuse to even try. Or else we would see proper releases from all over the 'scene' as its called.

I am not at all impressed by how slow it is with the new cracks. Why is this version of sf3 so different to the previous? It only took 2 weeks worth of cracking to bypass it. So in theory it should only take another 2-3 weeks for a very small update like this.

You might say i am demanding the crack. Yes i am demanding it. I refuse to sit through 2 mins of loading the sf3 checks every time i want to play the game. And that dont include the loading of the game itself. In the meantime i have dispatched a letter to ubisoft and the creators of sf3 complaining about this kind of BS.

Reloaded doesnt have to wake up to anyone! Except maybe the misses!

You can always attempt to do it yourself! Then we will see what slow really is!

Everything is easy "In Theory" Putting theory into "Practice" well thats something else!

There is no point in 'demanding' anything here! It wont get you anywhere! Or do you really think 'Reloaded' is going to do it because 'you' demanded it!

And your last sentence was the only thing you should have mentioned! And the only action you have any choice in doing! Not that they will change things just for 'you'!

This is what im talking about, people are impatient and have no common sense on the processes involved.

Its not that groups arent trying, but they are trying hard and I mean hard.

They just dont put on a PC and then crack something there on the spot, it can take hours or even days to trace through huge lists of coding to find out whats going on.

Ideally if you knew ASM and how protections work, and you yourself were a cracker then maybe you can say what you said.

Im actually fed up with the attitude from teenagers or other people like yourself, who are unappreciative and are complete idiots.

You dont like waiting, then go learn to do it yourself (it should take about a few years to learn it in and out).

If you dont like what SF3 is doing and how software publishers are using, then return the game and get your money back. The reason for these die hard protections is for the fact a vast majority of online users now will download illegal versions without even buying one game even if it costs $5.

This is the type of people I hate the most, with their lame excuses of why they steal games and why they think they deserve everything for free.

Again learn the subject matter at hand, goto www.crackstore.com see if you can view a tutorial on removing an old protection, see how difficult and time consuming it is.

JoergSelters 15-04-2005 04:50

I have read the most of the Tutorials of Crackstore and many more...
I have tried many Crackme´s und I have some Cracked....but I know some of the Protection is very Hard....Many of this can´t i Crack...

The Crackers make all what he can....also, I am waiting.

Let's just hope that Reloaded will eventually release a v1.2 no-cd crack for all of us who bought and enjoyed the game, because it's really crucial, it's not "just another update". Without the 1.2 patch you cannot really play this awesome game, it's way too buggy. And I'd rather play it with my original dvd safely sleeping in its case, not spinning in my drive for..15 hours a day!

Joe Forster/STA 15-04-2005 07:21

@MouseNo4: If you think cracking is like writing a ten-line software in the Micro$oft Visual Whatever IDE, taken by the hand by the smart Micro$oft Office Assistant, and then running it as many times as you like on different programs, to be cracked, then you're very much wrong. Don't talk bullsh*t about what you don't understand at all! [Edit] Oh, and true crackers, those capable of cracking today's commercial protections, are "above" you well enough to not give a f*ck about your (or anyone's, for that matter) opinion anyway... ;)

DanteYU 15-04-2005 09:10

Things got out of hands here... it seams that I started all this, so lets me say a few:
I cracked games on Commodore 64 like 20 years ago, and I was just too stupid to crack some of them... I tried over and over again, but I just couldn't figure out the code, so I know how difficult things can be, and they are much complicated now...

so:

Noone is entitled to ask for crack, it is a question of sharing information's!
I know that some updates newer see their cracks, and lets face it, SH3 is not that popular game... level of protection difficulty is just too big for level of popularity, so I fear that v1.2 crack will never see a light of day... Every Sims update will have it's crack, because half of the female world is playing it :)

Anyway, here is a question:
Can anyone please tell me (and other forum members), is anyone trying to crack v1.2? If anyone have this information, can person please share it with us on forum...

Regards

Hi DanteYU,

Believe me, none of the serious crackers, who can crack todays' commercial copy protections, are visiting this forum! Why would they? Can they learn something from us? No, they know a lot better about stuff than we do. Can they boast here? No, as then they might get caught. Can we offer them anything than whining about the lack of or problems with no-CD patches? NOPE! :D

Joe

Thanks Joe :)
Now I get the whole picture...

Another question emerges: Can someone say from experiance, will we get SH3 v1.2 crack? Or what are the chances that v1.2crack will apear... 30%... 47.3%... 87.2%.... ?

Not really sure what you're asking, but the 1.0 no-dvd exe for Driv3r works even if you've installed patch #2. Just replace it with the new nodvd for patch #2 when (or if) it's released. Most of the fixes in patch #2 are probably in the executable though, so you'll be missing out on those for the time being. For now, I prefer the inconvenience of keeping the DVD in my drive.
