I removed the foreign .txt files (no need for them!)

So how did I rip off more than i needed to??

I left the 'Directx' intact (probably don't need that either!)

I created another folder for 'patches' and added the 19Mb patch....

I really do not see whats been ripped out that should have been left???....

Yep That Exactly Wat I've Deleted As Well..!
Work's Great. :)

I get this repeated msg if I try to run the i6comp d command or this patch.bat that does all that for me in one command. What is wrong? If anyone knows of a solution please help :)

*Note: I also tried Winpack. Got to the datacabs and saw the foreign language groups. Tried to delete with Delete a group command. It did the dos commands as mentioned but I think it uses i6comp.exe as well and didn't disappear after the command to Delete a group was initiated.

Also my 'data1.hdr is 20.8kb so I dunno if anything is wrong with it... Maybe someone can post there data1.hdr here since its a small file.

Please try the DVD9toDVD5 conversion manual for Act Of War - Direct Action from here: http://fileforums.com/showpost.php?p...&postcount=138

Yes I have tried that already :) The error is within the i6comp.exe when it tries to open data1.hdr. I think the data1.hdr is corrupt or not accessable to unknown reasons that is why I was wondering if someone could send it to me via my hotmail. It is a 20.8kb file

GLH 13-04-2005 11:24

You can get the file from your original DVD.
Do you have the original DVD?

Leechasd 13-04-2005 11:35

Yes I have the original DVD. The point is I think its corrupt or something cause the as mentioned above it cannot open data1.hdr. The game installs fine and runs fine but I can't convert it from DVD9 to DVD5 using the remote.bat commands given.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
@ECHO OFF

i6comp d data2.cab 90 datav_fr.dat

i6comp d data2.cab 91 datas_fr.dat

i6comp d data2.cab 92 datav_de.dat

i6comp d data2.cab 93 datas_de.dat

i6comp d data2.cab 94 datav_it.dat

i6comp d data2.cab 95 datas_it.dat

i6comp d data2.cab 96 datav_es.dat

i6comp d data2.cab 97 datav_es.dat

echo COMPLETE - ENJOY!

Pause

That was what is written in the remote.bat. I even tried your commands and no go :( I just need someone to send me that small file to see if that will help . I do no know if mine is somehow damaged or corrupt or whatnot  Just e-mailing me this tiny small file won't do any harm :|

This was the error it gave when it was executed. I couldn't even delete it from within Winpack which could open the .cab files to see what was within as well. It can extract the group but cannot replace file or delete group. Maybe I need a newer Installsheild version? I have WinXP SP1 installed...
