People playing from HDD Online are playing games without DNAS

sure? because if you've got a patched iso on your HDD it shouldn't matter if you play it from hdd or from dvd! so it should work (even from HDD), but the specific game has to be DNAS-patched (the same way you do it with your dvds).

i tried this with tony hawk underground it does not work. it says it cant find the NA

No, it does matter because the game is read off from DVD to HDD. The data, rather like copy protection is not read off the disc, so even if you've patched it Jay_T my friend, it isn't going to make a jot of difference :)

ok ok, thx for teachin'
was just curious, cuz I thought it wouldn't matter whether you load a patched DNAS game from hdd or from disc.

so, maybe an update will fix this somehow.

what about HDadvance? why didn't sony close that down, yet? any ideas?

lufcfan 24-09-2004 09:31

Teachin' lol :)

I understand your curiosity though. As for HDAdvance - I can't wait 'till that is shut down - in fact, I have a good mind to report it myself ;)
