ReelBigFish, like MountainDew and others have said, the crack that is currently available on numerous sites, GCW included, does not work properly. I'm sure a new one will be out soon ;)

I was in a serious mood at the time and needed my coffee :D can anyone tell me if there is there any "easy" way to learn to make nocd cracks? or would I have to learn assembly :confused: if there's already a thread about this please let me know, I'm a newb. Thanks!

Take it from a rather experienced programmer who has tried to learn to crack: It is NOT easy.
It's not impossible however. Apart from the few programs that will allow you around certain protections and generate and exe for you, it's going to take some time to learn. Learn Hexadecimal, learn binary, learn assembler, learn C++, and get softICE. There's lots of good guides out there if you're willing to find them. Keep in mind that I'm a C++ programmer and haven't ever cracked a thing in my life (haven't had enough time to sit down and learn assembler very well). I'm going off of guides I've seen or read. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. Good luck, and have fun.

wah, installed this crack first and my pc didnt stopped crashing :/ hmk, so i ll have to wait for a working one.

But I installed sims on my mums laptop and it worked without a crack at my first try ...

As the No Cd apparently doesnt work right yet, can someone please post a link as to where i can get the original file back so i can use the build tool again?

Perhaps all of those seeking the No-CD crack should just be patient and wait a few more weeks to see if another one is released. Just use the original for the time being and keep checking GCW periodically for any updates.

Make a Image from CD1 with CloneCD v5.0.* (Safedisk2/3).
Mount this Image with Alcohol 120% 1.9.2 (1705).
"YOU NEED 1 VIRTUAL DRIVE WITH ALCOHOL 120"
Switch ON SafeDisk-Emulation.
Switch OFF the function: 'Hide CDR-Media' with CloneCD-TrayIcon.

Working sims2 crack! (Mini-iso)
 

Allright! b314x of EFnet made this mini-iso that works for Sims 2!

Now, you HAVE to be using Daemon tools 3.47 or NEWEST Alcohol version for this to work

What you do is you set those programs to emulate safedisk, then you mount this mini-iso (Its the CD with ALL programs ripped out, so its JUST the safe checks) and you go and play! Make sure your using the ORIGINAL sims2.exe in your game directory and not the bad money one or IT WON'T WORK

Many props to B314X for this, I mentioned a day earlier that this was probley going to be the only way to crack the game WITH the build options intact, and boom! It was! Happy building all! Now I just have to load a 1.5MB iso instead of a 758MB one

Distributing this file may be considered warez. So be warned.

Anyway, just make your own image using Alcohol and then make a mini-image using Mini Image Ripper (MiR). Works like a charm. I used disc 1.

don't know if the images fix thing is warez, but I do know that's 60% of this topic was totaly waste of reading and have mostly 3% of Sims 2 to do with. I smell that is working effectlely in here! (not)

What the **** are you on about? I guess you prefer millions of other threads popping up for this game?

I could care less about mini images. They have been shared on here before and I dont see why this one should not be.
