Do the swap magic CDs contain stolen Sony code? If they don't, than I don't think Sony can do much about it.

On HDLoader's case, it was based off code ripped off, so now Sony is all butt hurt on now has decaled war.

Also, from what I've been reading HDAdvance is just a HDLoader clone, more or less.

the only reason why they stopped the production of hd loader is beacause it can store games without the need of a modchip so. In theory kids could go to blockbuster and rent some games put it on there hd and play games for free which is basically copyright.

but swap magic does the same job tho why dont they stop them!

People are fed up of paying £44/$50 for a new game, its stupid! Change the price, allow people to be able to buy the games cheap n then modchips/hd loader etc will all stop.

yeah its bs like that that turns people into pirates if games wern't so damn expensive i'm sure there would be nowhere near as much piracy. im sure we've all done it lil bro/kid scratches a game ya dont want to pay another $50 for the replacment so ya go to blockbuster or a friends house. if games were like $20 then i wouldn't mind paying for a replacment. which is why i have a mod so i can copy my games and not have to spend $50 if my bro scratches it

with the hdd loader is much easier to do

u rent the game
install it play take the rentel back and have the copy installed till ur done playing it
and it works on any ps2 with a hdd and the loader

with swap disk u goto
rent the game and burn a copy
install a plug in play chip or flip top
and do about any were from 2-3 swaps to play one game

but my point is its still copyright your still in one way having a backup up the game. I say report hd advance and swap magic 2

Consolesource.com says they have some HDloaders still in stock and once they are gone there will be no more.

Email reads as follows:
Inventory blowout:: HDLOADER DISCONTINUED
Unfortunately the PS2 HDLoader has been discontinued by the manufacturer therefore Consolesource will no longer be offering this product for sale once existing stock has been sold. Consolesource.com 888.779.1377

This email was received today at 16:48:57. If anyone wants one, you better get a move on it. I'm sure they wont last for long if its not too late already.

I just tested it to see if I could get another one on order and go all the way through the transaction process and ;) it did sucessfully. Not sure why I did that as I dont need it, but for the sake of trying it, I did! :p :cool:
