I'm not so sure I have faith in something that cheap either but if it makes you feel better then $10 isnt much to pay for peace of mind.

iwillrace 30-06-2004 10:14

i have been overheating while playing driver 3 and the screen jumps or skips but i cleaned out the dust bunnies and it still happens is the fan in the back a cheap piece of cr@p? i was thinking of putting in a higher flow fan but i hav been told the fan is a different voltage

AXmichigan 30-06-2004 13:48

umm yea....
i wish there was a way u could just like make the xbox more open

JiveTurkey 30-06-2004 19:26

Well I guess you could run it without most of the top casing. But is it worth it?

How do you know it's overheating? I wouldnt jump to that conclusion because you were playing one game and it skipped a few times?

AXmichigan 30-06-2004 21:45

yea the skippin thing i wouldnt count too much on
but i still wonder how hot it can get
noone answers
(via evox in farenheit)
can someone finally answer
or at least say how hot there's have gotten
mine is 129.8

TylerDurden 30-06-2004 22:09

AXmichigan 01-07-2004 00:06

aight..
whats the hottest on record with a still functional xbox?
everyone

Pop Smith 01-07-2004 11:36

Most of the newer bios let you put a password on your xbox.

AXmichigan 01-07-2004 16:31

newer in which way?

sevi 03-07-2004 10:11

Mine's running at 42 degrees celsius (about 107 fahrenheit I think) but I don't have the top on cos I've got two hard drives which I keep swapping. How accurate are the temp readings you get through evox?

AXmichigan 03-07-2004 11:00

i was curious about that myself
i figured it would be pretty accurate
but no sure...
how about xbmc's as well?

sevi 03-07-2004 13:00

Are you referring to your mobo temp or your cpu temp? I gave my mobo temp before at 107 but my cpu temp is about 118f to 122f. Can't find any temp reading for my mobo in xbmc only cpu and it is the same as evox's reading.

AXmichigan 03-07-2004 16:03

list em both
