No this is in australia. Prices are much higher. Ritek would be over 2 dollars here at least.

Also, your Laser brand DVD-R are pathetic. btw, that is the topside you are talking about. Not the bottom.

Both the imations and lasers are purple on the bottom.

Man I hope you aint putting stuff in upside down.....

Which game are you trying to copy? What writer do you have?

This is a joke. Laser and Imation or should i say AN32 and CMC are pathetic garbage.

You are certainly doing something wrong here my friend.

frizzle 01-05-2004 20:02

G'day, I must admit that the Imation is silver on top with writing on it but still looks silver to me on the bottom. The Laser is white on top and it also looks silver on the bottom. These disks might be a joke but they work. This is why i am asking about better disks.I have backed up 5 games using the Laser disks and 1 using the Imation.I backed up Nba Live 2004 on the Tdk and it didn't work.Burnt it on the Laser disk and it worked fine.Burner is a Pioneer 106D with updated firmware.I am using Record Now Max 4.5.Thanks for any advice cause it has got me what is going on.
I stand corrected took the disks outside in better light just now and they do have a slight purple tinged to them, but not like the Tdk or Princo.Too many beers affecting my eye sight.

patch god 01-05-2004 20:07

Wait a second. You are saying the disks are silver looking on the underside? Perhaps you are using cdrs? The TDK is a DVD-R.

If you burn a cdr game to a DVD-R it is not likely to work. Perhaps this is what you are doing wrong?

Obviously you are not blind. Those disks, the imation and Laser, are they cdrs?

frizzle 01-05-2004 20:09

All of the dvd's i am taking about are DVD-R's.

TylerDurden 01-05-2004 20:12

Is there any way you can scan one of these discs or take a pic of one? I would like to get in touch with you via some sort of instant messenger so I can see them for myself. It would have to be done like this because of the very small file attachment allowed on these forums.

Ok well i am stumped. I use TDK DVD-R 4x they alsways work the PI/PO scans are excellent. I have a PS2 with messiah 2 modchip.

The burns work perfect in an old version 4. I have the Pioneer 106D as well.

Well, i dunno. I can'thelp you find ritek. I have no clue wheth they would even work in your PS2 since it likes low quality and wont play high quality disks??

btw, tyler, you're talking to frizzle right?

frizzle 01-05-2004 20:18

frizzle 01-05-2004 20:24

frizzle 01-05-2004 20:26

DVD-RW

Using DVD-RW cause i was getting sick of wasting money on other disks. Can always use em on something else.

patch god 01-05-2004 20:31

I find it very wierd that your ps2 plays DVDRW. Most dont.

frizzle 01-05-2004 20:34

I must have 1 weird PS2.Mine seems to love the DVD-RW.That tells me that it is not just me that finds this strange.

Thats untrue. Out of 4 ps2's that Ive had, 3 of them played RW either + or -. RW has less reflectivity though so regular -R is best.

Oh ok. I had no idea. I thought the laser needed to be tweaked to play DVDRW.

frizzle 01-05-2004 20:40

Guys do you think i should give up and just keep using what works?
