I think winme dos search funktion fails also so

Say, wtf... you don't need to run bin2boot and stuff in any compatibility mode... I've been using all the common DOS tools (echelon kit, bin2boot, ipbin4win, cdirip, many more) in an XP DOS window on my desktop... no problem. :P
Of course, the idea is to open a DOS prompt first, then type out the commands - not doubleclick on them from Explorer. :P

when i was selfbooting dreamcast games i used to use Xfind to find out which files have cd001 in them :)
i have provided a batch file in the rar just add these file to your selfboot directory with all your other selfboot tools and name the folder with your cd files in data then click the batch file and it will list the files u need to know :)
also grab this quick as i doubt it will be available to download for long

i never ever made a non selfbooting game
selfbooting since i use xp i donīt know which
tools are working and which not.

the ultimative way is to parition your harddisk.
one parition for me, and one for xp.

google for it, you find many guides to get the
compatibility with this way.

who said bin2boot, i said binhack :P and i do know how to work in DOS thank you very much ;)

Somebody was claiming bin2boot needed to run in compatibility mode *shrug* besides I said "and stuff" :D
