actually heh i stand corrected...

Microsoft is dropping pay-per-incident support for Windows 98 starting January 16th, 2004. "In accordance with the Microsoft Product Support Lifecycle, no-charge support for Windows 98 ended on July 1, 2003. Paid-only support will continue to be available from Microsoft at $35 per incident until January 16, 2004. "

Hmm, so what about the trojan horse thingy R!co ?

Eagle 29-02-2004 05:58

Monty, my Kaspersky A-V tells me the file is clean. Update your virus signatures and/or look for an scanner engine update etc...

[edit]

hmm, i'll rename A-Ray to A-Reboot or sumtin' as it causes a 'IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL' fukkin bluescreen :D

I know about this Win9x bug and working on it. But I agree with TippeX. Win9x should be not even supported, because it is full of bugs. Next rls will fix Win9x problem

hey, dont talk bad about 98!
it served me _very_ well for more than 3 years withoug re-installing. It's way better than most people think. they say its bad/buggy because they never used it properly before.
I knew how to handle it and never had problems :)

naw, it is bad/buggy, i've debugged the **** out of it, it really allows programs to mess about jumping from r3 to r0 using exceptions and performing other nasty stuff, u really should upgrade simply for the fact that when a program crashes in 2k/xp it isnt allowed to take the entire system down with it ;)

Eagle 29-02-2004 09:36

hey, i didnt say that i'm still using it ;)

TippeX 29-02-2004 11:02

ah,so what you mean is it served you very well until something better came along and you dropped it quicker than an unwanted girlfriend ;)
