Ok, I used Traxdata with Nero 5.5.10 on a Pioneer A05. I do have Prassi so I'll give it a try.

Hi dust:)

On my Messiah 2, vice city freezes too! and the stupid loading sceen come up!

I guess its the media. I read somewhere that even some original dvds have problems.

I also tried my backup on a v3 - messiah also had the same problem.

Guess what i turned the music down for options during the game, and it never froze again. what the hell is that?

Anyway i posted a thread for weard things that go on, on my pal v7.

Hi Filippos - nice to hear from you. Forunately the Loading screen is better than the freezing that happens on Magic 3.

It is because at fast speed the game had reach a point before the scene has been loaded into memory. It's a combination of things in the following order of importance:
  1. The just-in-time streaming strategy of the game
  2. The speed at which you hit junctions and the like
  3. The condition of your optical unit

We see this too and it's worse on DVD-Rs than on the original. Improves if we clean the lens sometimes.

Hhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm, that old saying - The old ones are the best :p LOL. I have GTA: Vice City on Traxdata running on a Messiah 1 and I have absolutely NO problems whatsoever...
