Man, this 30ga. wrapping wire is small. I hate to see what 32ga looks like.

be careful with those wires. They need to be insulated not shielded. Any place that sells the chip should offer the wires and solder in the package. Also the chip and all those wires dont fit in the system to well. Make sure you allow space to pack everything away when closing up the PS2. 8 hours included running a few errands so that may be a little off, but it bugs you out with 23 tiny wires and very little room for error on the board. the psx was a heck of a lot easier. I can do one of those in less than an hour.

Dang! I started soldering the wires and boy what a job. I have done soldering before but with the small points on the circuit board makes a lot of eye strains and a steady hand. I have all the wires on the top side except for the 3.3v wire. I cant get it to stick to the point. Then i need to flop the board over and attached the final wires. I tell ya if i was the guy soldering the modchips to the PS2, i would charge alot more!

The trick is to be patient, even when you close the system up you need to be sure there are no shorted connections.
