can the unprotected game be psx and can it be a bunrend psx game or does it have t be a original game i have to copy?

Charlie 27-09-2001 04:43

You will be more sure of the result if you are able to copy a backup that works on your PS2. A staright copy with CDRWin should also produce a working copy.

for the cdrw it says it is not compatiable with like like 1 of the RAW things just read it and tell me if this is good new or bad? i am not really sure. so can i like bun ps2 games or no?using CDclone i will give my CDRWIN information after

aka_khan 28-09-2001 14:30

also should i burn ps2 games at like 1x or 2x and do i have to burn psx games at those speeds and if not which speeds?i am not really going to burn psx game unless some1 ask me to but i am testing if my cdrw is compatable with the software by burning a psx gam and then playing it on my ps2 (i am burning a game that is already a backup of a psx and i know it works on my ps2)

Deano 28-09-2001 15:35

The only real way of knowing if you can copy games is by trying.

Everyone has started where you are know, you will also make several coasters in the process but the main thing is trial and error.

Get hold of a non-protected Ps-1 game which you fancy and follow the tutorial for CDRwin on my site and if you follow it step by step you should make a working copy.

Don't be 2 disheartened if it doesn't work just post back here and tell us why and someone here will help you, but try copying first and see how it goes.

Charlie 28-09-2001 18:22

You appear to me to be in a reasonable position with CDRWin. The DVD drive will accurately read your CDs and that matters. Your Burner will write Session at Once RAW - that's fine.

So you can copy games with CDRWin.

CloneCD shoud also be OK because with SAO+RAW produces the same result (I believe unless anyone can correct me) as DAO+RAW. So, as Deano says, try it with something you know works.

aka_khan 29-09-2001 15:38

deano at your site i can only find tuortials for ps1 games that is ok but you only post ps1 games as well which are not protected i am manily looking to burn ps2 games but i will first test my burner with a ps1 game and try it on my ps2. all my old backup copies of my ps1 games work on my ps2.

Charlie 29-09-2001 17:27

It's the same burning rules for PS1 and PS2

this guy helped me threw icq and he told me extract files from ps2 game with cdrwin so i did and htye were .bin and a .cue file and then he told me go download this universal ps2 media patcher so i downloaded it and patched the .cue file and then he sai just burn it with cd rwin bu clicking the 1st window and loading cuesheet so i did but it gave me this error when i tried to load the cue sheet. he said thats hoe he does his games and they work.i downloaded the patched from megagames so it can't be like a virus or somethign

"Error:Invalid CUE SHEET command at line 1
Unable to find or open file"

what does that mean and can i fix it?

Presumably you patched the BIN file. If so, the steps you described were correct. Look for the BIN file with the same name as the CUE file. It should be in the same directory. If it is, print it out and let us know what it says.

aka_khan 29-09-2001 23:30

print what out?want me to take a screen shot or something?or do u want me to open a file or something and if u want me 2 open the .cue file or .bin which porgram would do this?

Charlie 30-09-2001 06:28

The Cue file is a text file. Use NOTEPAD and cut/Paste

aka_khan 30-09-2001 14:45
