I think some of you have over-reacted to OberGott. Just go back and read the thread - some of you have got excited over nothing. I've seen real idiots and called them same. Klugscheißer was a bit unfair (although I love the expression).

obergott69, I dont see anything wrong with people charge 50 for providing service on installing chip. Thats called "business". If you dont want to pay 50 for the charge of service then go buy yourself the equipment and time to install for yourself.
I do however agree your point of choosing mod-chip upon the readers. No point to argue someone's option on certain mod-chip, let the reader decide his/her choice. Thank you. Just my 2p..........

Yes it is expensive. But who ever said the best things in life are free? Because in this case, it is not. In every case, with the Messiah - it is a lot of money well spent.

Other people may think that getting other mods is a little amount of money that is well spent. However, a lot of these people obviously dont have much tchnical "know how" and dont realise that in a lot of cases, they are doing more harm to their PS2 than good.

The clicking, fast eject tray, the re-reads etc are not normal operations for the PS2. These operations do harm you PS2, this is no opinion... it is fact. If Arakon, Charlie, Dust2Dust, and Warlock all agree on one thing - it is exactly this. Sure it is someones opinion to choose which chip is a good one to get - but these forum members are differentiating the Messiah from the rest. That is the difference between fact and opinion.

Good on you Obergott69 for taking the criticism you have recieved over the past few days - if it were me, I would have just gone to another forum and not looked back.
