Make sure you enable Hide CD-R Media if you play the game from a burner to get round the ATIP check. You can find this in the Clone CD Tray.

podunkviller 17-04-2002 23:10

empire earth is securom new betablocker will NOT help you here ;)

Thanks for the hint Ghosthacker, but i already used that option. It won´t make a difference. I will try out different speeds of reading and writing and also try some other progs.

If imanage to get a fully working copy i will post it here.

podunkviller 18-04-2002 01:01

biggest hint ANYONE can give you is to slow down and NOT USE AWS

gh0sth@cker 18-04-2002 10:13

Download Clony XXL to get the correct settings to use in Clone CD. If the game is Securom protected as podunkiller said, enable both subs when reading.

Lamath 18-04-2002 23:57

Thanks for the hints guys. I tried different speeds and for now i can say that i have a partially working copy, which means that you can install and play with the copy, but you have to engage the hide the cdr-media feature in clone cd. So a really full working copy seems to be impossible.

Any comments?

Lamoth

Hi you cant get a working copy of Mohaa without using the hide cdr media from the clonecd tray.Safedisk2.5.xx has an atip check which is not there on pressed cds and is only found if you play from your cd writer. So you have to enable hide cdr media if you want to play with the disc in your cd writer or play from a cd/dvd rom.

podunkviller 19-04-2002 15:42

not for cd-dvd roms ............ *promise*

DeanI 19-04-2002 17:11

yeah that bit was writen realy badly you dont have to enable hide cdr media if you play from cd/dvd rom

Safedisc2

You donot need to have the best equipment to make backup of Safedisc2 games. Just download the new CloneCD4 (beta) and it takes care the rest, I did tried it. It works for MOHAA (SD2). Also the backup copy must be inserted into regaular cdrom drive to play. Backup copy DOESNOT work in CD recorder. Safedisc2 method can recognize the cdr or original cd due to double protection. Good luck!

What burner are you using - also CCD4 won't help ALL burners achieve this.

Also - it is possible to play the game in a burner when you enable Hide CD-R Media in the Clone CD Tray to get round the ATIP check.

Safedisc2 and SecureRom(NEW)

Yes, I use Sony CDRW CRX-175A1 to read and burn MOH AA both at max speed (24x) and it works. (crazy huh...but just for testing). CCD4 also works on World WarIII (SecureRom (NEW). Using Samsung DVDRom SD-616 (not support by CloneCD) and I set max reading speed. It takes less than 8 mins to read. I am satisfied with the new results compared with the bad old CCD3.

podunkviller 21-04-2002 00:47

for some reason, i've always been able to burn safedisc2 @ max speed as well (havent gotten a 2.51 game yet though, civ3 is as close as i've come). securom new, on the other hand, thats a 16 x-er ;)

I did renegade today, using clony and betablocker but like a lot of the others say. I have to play from my rewriter and tick the hide media tab.
