  ERROR! Invalid option: -d1g

Errorlevel=2

ERROR: general (de)compression error in srep:m3f:a16:d1g

using the method from KaktoR's post its supposed to end up with 6xdvd5, but as you can see its giving an error

Will try again with those compress method
Btw how much time do you need to compress hitman 2 with srep+lolz?
I'm with xzlib,srep + lolz 10 or 11 hours

you were told before there are no zlib streams so pointless to use that option.
most other options take 3-4 hours... using this & says will take 3 hrs to complete ( of course depends on hardware.

Code:

srep:m3f:a16:lolz:tt8:d128m:mt4:fba0:mc1023:gm20

thanks for the post Simorq, but after starting with those settings, it has started slowly climbing upwards... last time I had checked it was over 112 hrs !!!!!

I'll go back to option I had tried earlier, option 2 ( SREP + 4x4:LZMA ) & live with dvd 1-8 4.37 & dvd9 680MB.

KaktoR 28-11-2018 23:34

Those hours are never real time. Last time I was using lolz it told me 16 hours or so. In fact it was only 7 hours.

the time I wrote was in fact after leaving it run for 8 hrs, without anything else being done.

w10x64, 32 GB ram. Most others do start saying 10-12 hrs, but are usually complete in only 3-4 at most so far. Maybe I'll try it again with those just let it run overnight.

Code:

srep:m3f:a4+lolz:tt8:d128m:mt4:fba0:mc1023:gm20
gave error about lolz & after removing that, error on the tt8....

in best compression methods topic there is a post that says to use this
-msrep:m3f:a16:d1g+lolz:tt8:d128m:mt4:fba0:mc1023:g m20
which will end up compressing game from 103GB to 33GB..

topic here > https://fileforums.com/showthread.ph...825#post476825

But i'm not sure how it has to be entered in custom compression ( option 18 )
for it to use it. I've tried exactly how its listed but gives an error.
Maybe KaktoR can provide an answer/ solution.

I am a noob, could you please tell me what is the best compression method using diskpan and also how to use
'-msrep:m3f:a16:d1g+lolz:tt8:d128m:mt4:fba0:mc1023:g m20' this

prudislav 12-01-2021 06:26

Could you update the HDD size?
The final version after all the patches is 149 GB (i dont think there is gonna be some other patch before third game)
