FreeArc 1.0??? Whats going on? Last one was 0.667?

panker1992 26-02-2018 20:35

Bulat has stopped development of Freearc on 0.67, however he made Freearc Next.

This is his Freearc Next 0.11v. Enjoy :D

This FreeArc Next is still to be discovered and fixed, who knows if it will make us leave our beloved FA, and bewitch us with the new FAN ....:rolleyes:;)

Ah yes, I know about that one, naming here is wrong as it state FA without Next and in version 1.0, which neither FA nor FA Next are. But thanks for new bink encoders!

panker1992 28-02-2018 10:02

The naming is my type of naming stuff, i had named Masked data compression on the other thread i made in 2015! which doesn't mean i violate the name Freearc which is the name Bulat gave his project!!

I Hope you enjoy Bink stuff, all newly added games support 720p upscale on bink without problems so 1080p>720p with d100>d50, you gain 50% more ratio and with bpk it goes down to 37 ~ 38%

Edit: Updated and fixed some silly bugs and stuff :D

Enjoy

Good to see ya preaching again XD

i think that using FreeArc 1.0 name is really incorrect toward me, as well as toward users. Moreover, you use fa'next 0.11 inside, which is incompatible with FreeArc, which add even more mess

so, it's not freearc, nor freearc-compatible program, it's archiver using fa'next 0.11 technology and hijacking my program name to gain cheap popularity

i think that sooner or later you will realize that other people also can create freearc-based tools, and if everyone will gave it names like freearc 2, freearc 8.5, it will just make a mess. it's your product so give it original name - even if freearc 1.0 will never be released

Bulat, never once i have or had business with hijacking your stuff because i dont take money for it!!

I love your products i use them and share what i think others will like too, Unlike all other repack agents which make money from your stuff( i have found sreps and unarc.dll custom recompiled and heavily modded)

I have renamed stuff to never have to go through this again

unified data compression + custom freearc.

Let me know if you are ok with these names or maybe suggest me what names to use so long it doesnt bother you or other users

Bulat 03-03-2018 13:23

yes, this name is ok for me

felice2011 03-03-2018 13:24

Renaming a name of a free archive and especially to the public domain, I do not understand all these problems that Bulat have, the archive in question will be subjected to tests of assessments if necessary, not to steal property or work of those who created it, but only to benefit from his work, without ulterior motives.
If even in this there are problems I would like to know it too, since I'm creating the first GUI of data storage on fa'next technology.

Update 2

Important Note: To decompress with success you need to set fa64 and Arc
on ***_u folders to start as Admin, else it will fail

================================================== ===================================
Update 2 |
================================================== ===================================
Masked Data Compression 2.8.2

1) Added New 18.03 xz with multithreading decomp - new chunking methods
ex. lzma2:d512m:c1024m:mt4 =( d =dict, c=chunk size, mt= multithreading control)

2) fixed wavz mask - minor name bug

UDC -FA'N 1.2

1) Minor fixes on Masks - updates on some tools

2) Added Fazip.exe which loads the cls for freearc next so cls functions,
are supported by fazip_x86 until someone pops native _x64 ones
