WHOAH, Calm down people!!!!

Firstly, Sergio_V I didn't make the mini image, I just discovered it doesn't work, and I wasn't the first, so don't credit me with that, it wasn't my work! The image I made was a FULL image of MY ORIGINAL CD. Like hundreds of others have.

Secondly, If you are on Windows XP, YOU DO NOT NEED TO CHANGE COMPATIBILITY. With D-Tools running, and the image mounted, use the s4h program, click hide, give it 20 seconds or so to make sure it's finished then run the game. That's all. Changing compatibility will cause the memory low errors

Antonk, or whoever it was whose game keeps failing on them - I had this too.I think it's anti-blaxx's doing. Uninstall the game from ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. do NOT do it from the FM2006 setup on the cd/image. Reinstall it and you should be fine to go. That worked for me! (I'm on XP Pro)

Whoever got the 50mb "flavoured" copies, well done you downloaded either a bogus (possibly viral) file, or the demo.

For whoever asked, I'm not Italian, London born n bred. Me ol' china.

So. Install the game. If you have it installed and it's being troublesome, uninstall it and reinstall it
Uninstall antiblaxx
start D-Tools
mount the image
Open s4h
Click hide
Give it a few seconds (I found if you immediately open FM2006 you're not giving it enough time and it asks for the disc. If this happens, click Restore in s4h, wait 10 seconds, click hide, wait ten seconds)
Run the game.

For Windows 2000 I don't know if you need a different method, I only have XP Pro, but let me know if the s4h method works as well as it does on XP.

To save confusoin here, feel free to PM me FOR ADVICE.

I will NOT send any images. I will NOT send any mini images. The only thing I WILL send is a link to s4h and I WILL report anyone who requests image files.

Creating an image

Hi

I have gone to create an image of my CD but one hour has gone and I'm at 1% - should it really take this long? Does it speed up at all? I'm using Alcohol 120% to do this but all I get are read errors (which I understand are normal for the first 3%) but is it really going to take days to create this image?

Cheers for your help

Elky

Its because your CD drive doesn't support the fast error skip function. Go away & leave it for a couple of hours and you will be fine.

Its been said MANY times!!

DO NOT use ANTI-BLAXX!

DO NOT use SR-STOP!

DO NOT use Virtual-Hide!

USE a PROPER .mdf image created from your ORIGINAL copy!

USE Daemon Tools!

:)

Make sure your image is .mdf format, from Alcohol 120%
Install Daemon Tools, mount the .mds image and EXIT DAEMON TOOLS. This means it should NOT be running in your taskbar at all!
Install and run AntiBlaxx. Right click on the icon in your taskbar and click on Settings.
Click the button next to Deamon Tools in the popup window and browse to the .exe file.
In the "Protection" box select "SecuROM 5"
Click the button next to the "Game" field and browse to the fm.exe file wherever you installed the game.
Tick the box that says "Mount Image", make sure that the circular box next to Daemon Tools to the right of this is selected, then click the button next to the Image box and browse to the mds file. Finally make sure device is set to Device 0 (assuming you didn't ceate additional virtual drives in Daemon Tools)

When all this is done, make sure Daemon Tools IS NOT RUNNING and right click the anti-blaxx icon, go up to Run Game and select the only one in there (default name is simply Gamename).

Now it will seem like nothing is happening. Double click the FM2006 shortcut on your desktop and an error box apppears saying the game is already running. Click the button to close that error message and wait a moment, the game will load. After that you should be able to run it from antiblaxx everytime you want to play.

AntiBlaxx show me this msg
1) [An error occured during loading the settings! All settings are restored.]
2) [Anti-Black generates a backup automatically. Pleased ..............]
3) [Run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or arguement.]

what exactly happen?

so all was going great.....but then...

come Jan 2006 (in the game - specifically 6th jan if anyone else gets the same error) - the game shuts down after an error . its a windows error that creates a dmp file in the program files folder for the game.

now everytime i load my save up again, the error appears, exactly the same day. its really annoying because i cant get past the 6th.

does anyone else have the same problem and could anyone advise on what to do?

thanks

does this method work with the new patch released by sigames?

leezer3 27-10-2005 02:10

Yes, it works. Anyway, S4H in itself is not totally necessary, any of the Safedisc or Securom hiders will do- All it does it to deny read permission to the DT/ Alcohol virtual drive reg keys, a trick that has been around for ages.

chewy21 27-10-2005 05:17

what is S4H?

irishkid 27-10-2005 05:18

typnhp 27-10-2005 06:06
