When I start my game I actually see on trainer "game running" and on bottom left "cncgame.dat found" do you?

I have the same problem. I downloaded the trainer, started it, then the game and it worked. But today (one day later) no chance, first game than trainer or first trainer than game, nothing worked. I tried to download it again, but dont work. A bit wierd

It finally works. I patched the game to 1.4 and downloaded the no-cd thing and know it works. It works just fine but I have few ideas:
The yellow lines that indicates a unit that it is invicible is too long. It could have been shorter.
It would also be better if there was a way to reverse built speed and infinite energy cheats.

Yurgeta 14-04-2007 16:20

a nice feature would be to " Promote " units so u dont have to use the other cheats, like unkillable feature..

its handy for engineers, but i prefare to only limit it to them maybe afew other stuff like defence buildings if there in need of repair, once repaired i turn them to normal..

Hurray

Hi Everyone,

The trainer works now. Honestly I've not done anything. Thanks to those who advised me. The game is on.

The engineers to get promoted. There is no way you can promote them but in certain missions you get promoted engineers so that they can heal themselves.

You can't promote engineers :) I mean, they never get to kill anyone, they don't get promoted when they capture buildings, and certainly don't have a promotion slot. Check the .xml with the set of rules, you'll see what I mean...

i actuly knew that and didnt mean the engineers, i was onabout the other units whocan be promoted..

Great! :D and sunbeam can you please send me the rules.ini? Or least the xml if not? lol

Caboose O'Malley 15-04-2007 13:08

Have you SunBeam managed to decrypt those .Ini- files? How? The SDK isn't even out yet.
I opened up the gamedata.ini - file in a Hex Editor, only to find a lot of jibberish and mumbo-jumbo but with a few things that seemed reasonable and made sense...

xantius 15-04-2007 13:46

i'd also love the rules.ini. :)

Caboose O'Malley 15-04-2007 14:57

Hey thanks! I appreciate that ;P

It's not encrypted, lol. The issue here is the editor you use. There are 1-2 working with C&C3 (.big editors I mean). The other ones - old ones - will decode the data improperly, that's why you see "gibberish". The file is clean, it's a matter of decoder...

P.S.: Check the article I wrote on Rebelz Nation » link. The editor is in the thread. Good luck :)

P.S.2: Don't think there's an .ini, since it's the same implementation as C&C:Generals had. Instead of a consistent .ini, you'll find the units sparsed in separate files. Good luck...

Its not encrypted..

but then you say decode the data..

Cmon make up your mind lol

The .XML files ARE encrypted/encoded.

xantius 15-04-2007 18:05

i've managed to open the big files without any problems, using the .big extractor from the site کunβeam posted.

Thanks کunβeam!

*spelling :)

DABhand 15-04-2007 18:45

Essentially the big extractor is extracting files from an encoded source. And the extractor has LUA support also.

Caboose O'Malley 15-04-2007 19:28

Hmmmm, I found the basic Ini files in the Misc.big file, but I can't find the Unit and/or faction files (Xml, lua or Ini)
I've looked through most of all the big files in the whole C&C3 Directory...
What gives?
