It's a first day i finally have my internet works, so I'm registred and first of all want to thank you guys, without you I would still trying to play v1.1

BareJag it's not nodvd, it's a bagged as hell game. It will crash till it's not v.1.15\1.16

I have red all thread and for the moment tryed all possible things to make this game starts normally. No F. way.

What makes me crazy is the fact I can't find ANY logics in the process. Does anyone have any idea how the protection works and why it works randomly?

P.S. As for me procyon.exe works a little better then asr.exe

There is another file, not config.ini, responsible for game settings. I've checked it: none changes in the game (i.g. in resolution from 1280x1024 to 1024x768) reflect in config.ini.

I'll try to find the file again...

yeah, the userconfig.ini or something like this... tried it too and changed it to 800*600 like in the config.ini... It works, but you can't play because buttons disappear in the game, because they don't fit in the "toolbar" any more :)
Furthermore the language changed to English... No problem for me but thats really strange :) The game is unplayable with 800*600 so I'll stay with 1024*768 if noboby has a better idea!?

My problem whas that the game's craching. Let's consentrate on that.

So as I understood you have v1.1 crashes around 1404. Your problem is in guild2.exe. It WILL crash all the time in 1404 till it's v1.1.

Only by patching it to v1.15 (at least, I'm using 1.16) you'll have the possibility to play at least :)

If u need smth like guide to patch, I'll write it :)


If you've mentinoed, functionality of the buttons reduses with lower resolution (1280 to 1024). I suppose the only way to fix the problem with 800x600 is to remake the buttons. But this haldly can be made easely...

Maybe you've changed the language in config.ini or in ...\Resource\loca.txt

The game will slow down anyway. It is baggy. With memory use too.

After the patch, you'll need all the stuff discussed in the thread :) you'll get all headache trying to start it too. :) But it will not crash anymore :)

Can anyone send me or give me the link to the G2MI_alc.rar? It's that the old llink aint working... please guys I cant wait anyomore to play the game... im counting on anyone... :)

Here you'll find whole the game whit the file you need. This i all i know... sorry, the whole file is 1,46 GB and all is made into a .rar file, but this is all i know...

today guild 2 v 1.2 uk paych released.but lots of ppl cant play cause in loading screen about %95 it stuck.is there v 1.2 crack exe?

got my uk version of Guild 2 to work using patch 1.2

- full installation
- applied patch 1.2
- grabbed the G2MI_alc52.rar and mounted on Daemon Tools 4.06HE (no emulation options on)
- wait for autostart menu to pop up and clicked 'Spielen' (seems you have to start it up using the autostart menu of the mini image)

hope this helps others with the new patch and yes the stability has improved quite a bit, although I had to turn some settings down cause of lag.

If the MiniImage in this thread works, why not upload it to GCW good 'n proper? At least that would save me the torture of downloading from RapidShare (the most retarded cash-hungry online service eva', IMO). The alternate upload location give a 404 and it should as it has been there for quite a while... I was late. To cut to the chase, I need to DL that MiniImage too... That will be my last attempt to play this game... I sick of continuously changing my DVDs... I always have a movie in the drive and this is just too frustrating... I'm afraid I might get it scratched and then my retailer won't refund it. Just had enough of JoWood.... just check out the official forum... everyone hate this crappy game... I had hope before visiting the forum... now all is lost...

if your version is UK,how come the menu is in german?

i tried making a mini-image but I think my dvd drive is old and not reading the sectors correctly. so i used that mini-image someone else made and its created from a german version apparently yet it works well with the UK version.

yes I can play game from original dvd but most of us dont just install one game on their PC. I can prolly go and swap out the cd for every game I play but I dont cause im lazy and my siblings are retarded in that they throw my disks around. So its alot easier being to start up any of the games without a disc in the drive.
