May be, but in my case Hitman works ONLY if VENDOR - MODEL names are set to 'real-like'.
I think its like some EXTRA check we forgot already :)

Muji-FightR 04-09-2006 12:14

Sounds crappy to me, a copy protection that only allows a precompiled list of vendors and models ?
Isn't that kind of discriminating ppl with old drives and very new unknown ones ?
Never heard of that actually, dunno what to think about that.

SCREW YOU, SECUROM :D

TippeX 04-09-2006 13:27

naw, sounds like a nice theory, but utter bollocks really...

it'd mean so much compatibility problems with any new drives, securom guys haven't got a crystal ball so i doubt they know of new drives appearing in the future, that and then they'd have to update all the existing protected games...
common logic says its wrong..

For those interested v1.2 crack by detonation has been submitted to GCW (didn't see it anywhere). :)

Joe Forster/STA 04-09-2006 18:17

You'll have to wait for about a week for the next update on GCW.

A week? Whats happening? :(

Muji-FightR 05-09-2006 02:54

The site is mainly run by Empire, a one man army :D
So it's hard tp update constantly, however I haven't seen such a long break.
But first things first, and if that is private stuff, it's nothing special :)

He is not just an army, he is the entire Empire! :D

He is taking a break, as all families do. ;)

I think theres no predefined list of vendors, but instead securom checks if drive's name is too weird. Mine is 'BJJD3'.

BTW, theres another guy followed my instructions and he was able to launch Titan Quest 1.15 at last.

The fun part is that when I set drives names back to default, game still runs...

doubtful, how do you code 'too weird' checks on characters..

thus proving that renaming it doesnt do a damned thing....im now convinced its asr or something thats 'helping' you run the game, the renaming might do something to daemon or alco.. resetting some value maybe .. but i really do doubt it does anything for securom

Al_ZXC 06-09-2006 00:26

but game refused to launch BEFORE renaming...

nevertheless, renaming can help in case of 'emulation software detected' message with asr

Have uploaded the 1.2 Detonation crack to TurboUpload:

Code:

http://d.turboupload.com/d/958898/test.rar.html
Password is: GCW

Muji-FightR 06-09-2006 11:18

Isnt that the one that was erased from *************** (cough) ?
I think they removed it because of some ugly crashes during the game x(

cdkiller 06-09-2006 12:10

i think the crashes are computer related... itīs the cracked ActiveMark version and it is removed fine (disabled timelimit checks etc...)

maciozo 06-09-2006 12:14

heh, thank God for activemark :D
