Why not? DO you not have he 700mb image? If not I assume you have your original CD to have installed it. Make an image from that

So if you uninstall, reinstall and follow the steps, it STILL asks for the CD?
When I dont change the compatibility it asks for the cd and when I do it doesn't do anything, tried it both ways after re-installing

Guys, see http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=131341 for a guide on how to create mini images. If the result is still too big for you, you can cut its size down with ISODir: http://cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdr...#ISO Directory (until it stops working :D).

I installed fm2006 and then went to get a drink come back and my smashed cd tray drive lies on the floor with my daughter saying to me "sorry, sorry".
After beating her to an inch of her life  (joke ) I decide that i will not buy a new cd drive just yet (as skint, thank you half term) and need some kind of patch.

And yes i know the worst luck ever does apply here.

Hmmmm. Weeeiiiirrrddd.

Right I know I'm repeating myself here, but I'm just gonna run through all issues thus far:

You've totally uninstalled the game
You've then reinstalled it
The image is mounted on the virtual drive and then Daemon Tools closed
Dameon Tools is then totally exited from right clicking the taskbar option.
You're loading up Anti-blaxx, and the settings are:

Daemon Tools: c:\**WHEREVER YOU INSTALLED IT\daemon.exe
Security: SecuROM 5
Image: Path to the ind-fm2006.mds file
Game: c:\**WHEREVER YOU INSTALLED IT\fm.exe
It's set to use Daemon Tools and not Alcohol 120%

You right click the antiblaxx icon, choose "Run Game" take the only option (the one you just made) and nowt happens?

You should see 8 cmd boxes appear, and disappear again quite quick. Then nothing happens. For quite a while, but if you press CTRL+ALT+DEL, then click on Processes, you will see the fm.exe process running, just be patient.

Duble check all thats right, if you have problems still, I have just installed it on my work PC to check my methods, and took screenshots of every step. It's working fine.

Just say the word and I'll post the screenshots.

All thats right but

Nothing shows up in the processes thing ever.

ArsenalFc 24-10-2005 06:49

Do you get the 8 cmd prompt boxes opening?

whateverandever1982 24-10-2005 06:53

Yep, all that happens.

ArsenalFc 24-10-2005 06:59

What are the specs of your machine then? That's pretty much what it does. I did have to wait a few moments till it opened on mine though. Tried restarting the machine? Or possibly uninstall, restart, reinstall, restart?

You're doin g everything right so 10-1 on it's some tiny little oversight catching us out (As I said, mine was leaving D-Tools running)

Double check your Antiblaxx settings are identical to this screenshot

whateverandever1982 24-10-2005 07:02

Yep, its the same, my specs are amd2400 i think it is and 1gb ram.

ArsenalFc 24-10-2005 07:14

Right I would say just as an exasperated attempt to iron out ANY flaws, remove all 3 programs, then reinstall them all, D-Tools then FM2006 and then Antiblaxx. Double checkt he compatibility mode hasn't been "remembered" and it's not switching you to NT Version 4 every time you install it. Follow the instructions to the letter checking them by that screenshot. Restart every time you're prompted to and once more for luck when it's all done.

I just loaded mine up, exited and loaded up again so the repeat load problem won't occur once we get this sorted.

Also once you've uninstalled the game, delete the Football Manager 2006 folder. In fact delete EVERYTHING except the mds and mdf files for the install disc so that's all you have.

Do that and your system will be in the same state as my laptop last night and my work pc 20 minutes ago. Hopefully that'll iron out whatever is wrong.

I got it working using a different metod

1. Uninstall anti blaxx (i dont think you have to do this but with it on my machine daemon tools wasnt working)

2. Download the 6.01 patch

3.mount the disk image to d-tools

4.set compatibility to windows nt 4.0 service pack 5

5.run game

after 4 days of trying this finaly worked for me running the game on nt did not work without the patch

Thats how I got it working then I quit and then it stopped working

I uninstalled Daemon and now it wont let me re-install, says some drivers have invalid names and conflicts, now now it wont let me install it.

ArsenalFc 24-10-2005 07:52

Sounds like theres some nastiness on your syste. I dunno why Daemon Tools would have reinstallation problems! Did you reboot after uninstalling?

If so try the same thing, but using Alcohol to mount it (and change the 2 antiblaxx settings accordingly). By all accounts it now seems it may have been D-Tools causing the aggro.

EDIT: - Now that I think about it I HAVE heard reports of antiblaxx and daemon not getting on well for some people, though I've had no problems. Perhaps this is the issue? Well try A120% and we'll take it from there mate.
