Ive heard a report that someone was banned for " cheating " while playing socom 2. Dunno if this has anything to do with sony's efforts to counter this new dnas cracking.

im useing wimage u wont belive how ez it is to do with this prog u make a iso useing dvd decripter then u load winmage then open iso then u can do what ever u want to this iso just like if it was on ur hdd now u just look through the folders and find the dnas271.img file which it will stand out cause it will have a floopy disk icon when u find this click it and use the inject button at the top of the screen on winmage now u can put a new file in its place just put the patch file in place of the old one when done exit the prog and burn the iso its simple as that :)

just did socom 2 useing this methed its very ez to do and works great loaded right up on my magic 3.1 :)

Where do you get the patches. I have my ISO of FIFA 2004 and found the DNAS271.IMG

So where do you get these DNAS patches? Sorry if I've missed something here and it's already been posted. Just tell me what page and I'll look myself.

Plus, once you've patched it using WinImage, do you just burn back to DVD-R and it boots right up and you can log on, or do you need another app to boot up on PS2 before you can load the patched game?

that guy whod got banned from SocomII was only a Temp. ban. I think the servers thought he had a cheat code.

umm... Inject doesn't show for me... :mad:

did you do this?

goto options->settings->image tab-> and check the "Allow updates to files in cdrom image.

Thing now is that it says it cannot inject DNAS271.nip as the image is full :(

after enabaling that option, you should restart winimage

Edit: I didn't notice that you are injecting the dnas271.nip file, you should inject dnas271.img file

It's OK. Got it done. Used Disk ID Patcher 1, extracted the IMG, patched it using the DNAS270.IMG option, typed in the disk ID and bingo. Injected the patched file and ready to go... Thanks a lot anyway... :D
