I used Pzlib -m2 -x c256m +srep +Lzma2 to compress GTA 5 and also used msc for audio (compressed to 15.3 gb intial size 16.6 gb ) and final compressed size is of 39 gb version 1.36 but there are repacks on net like fitgirl 36 gb approx can anyone tell how to achieve that size

Compressing Mafia III worked fine, but there are several problems to extract. Esspecially on some sds texture files there is a endless loop.

Is there any way to catch these files before compressing? I mean it`s very ennoying to compress the game 20 times to catch all files which won`t extract correctly.

I think we'll have to be patient with pZlib, as it's still very much a work in progress. Till Razor12911 can put some more of his valuable time into this, all we can do is go through the process of trial and error; provide him with much detailed information of the problems we encounter as possible.

hi guys I have a quisition
does the order of the External compressor matters?
I mean for example in the arc.ini file:

[External compressor:srep]
[External compressor:precomp]
[External compressor:pzlib]
[External compressor:lzma64]

If I changed the order would it matter with compresion?

Bulat 17-04-2017 16:15

order in arc.ini doesn't affect anything

I have made an observation, which appeared very strange to me.

If your compression method looks something like this:

Code:

pzlib64+srep64+lzma2
or
pzlib+srep64+lzma2

You've to rename cls-srep.dll to cls-srep64.dll in order for it to decompress, or else, it'll get stuck after decompressing a few files every time. This is applicable to WPI, btw. I don't know how to work with any other scripts so I can't speak for the others.

cls-XXX.dl decompress method XXX, so just look into compressed data. may be method is encoded as "srep64" - in this case cls-srep.dll isn't used at all and you probably stuck with arc.ini-specified srep.exe in stdin-to-stdout mode, which isn't very reliable in freearc

Is this always the case or stdio isn't properly implemented in FA?
