Edit: Same as always for eu5 game. Figure out yourself.

For the until dawn game, just use kraken, right? And using library 2.9.5?

KaktoR 10-10-2024 07:29

mermaid+kraken and 2.9.10+

If you use DSG, use it like this:
Code:

xtool:d1:mue5,k0xB2407C45EA7C528738A94C0A25EA8F419DE4377628EB30C0AE6A80DD9A9F3EF0,kraken:core_2.9.5

On the latest version of DSG, I used this:

Code:

xtool:d1:mue5,k0xB2407C45EA7C528738A94C0A25EA8F419DE4377628EB30C0AE6A80DD9A9F3EF0,kraken:core_2.9.5+srep_new:392+LOLZ_FAST
Game files are the early access version with no extra DLC, 27.5 GB to 24 GB. It's the same improper result as before. Do I need to configure something else in DS?

KaktoR 12-10-2024 06:38

I have not tested much, but you could rip JP/EN language and 720p/1080p/2160p movies aswell to get a bit better ratio.

I simply have no time atm to test deeper.

Edit: Sorry I used wrong command line syntax. I just realized this now lol.

Use this
Code:

xtool:d1:mue5,k0xB2407C45EA7C528738A94C0A25EA8F419DE4377628EB30C0AE6A80DD9A9F3EF0:mmermaid:mkraken:core_2.9.5

What shady encryption is "LEGO Harry Potter 2024 Collection" using actually?

Masquerade 13-10-2024 14:34

^^
Not encrypted, but lzham. File table is encrypted though. Spiritovod shared a bms script on cs (ue4 keys topic) that simply extracts data - great for data mining. Reimport doesn't work due to the nature of the lzham used. FitGirl was kind enough to give me a little bit of info about it.

KaktoR 13-10-2024 14:42

Thanks. Time to delete this then.

Arsene Lupin - Once a Thief (English Only)

Code:

Selected ARC/DS method for Data1a-01.bin was: xtool:c32mb:munity,lz4hc,l12+srep_new:393b+lolz:dtb1:d50:mtt1:mt16:mc1023
-----------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall input size: 3.71 GB
Overall output size: 2.59 GB (Ratio 69.86%)

You can maybe get a bit better results with different "munity" methods.

Masquerade 17-10-2024 23:19

^^
You can take a lot of size off by converting the banks to ogg audio and using oggre and a hdiff patch.

KaktoR 18-10-2024 07:02

You can save even more space by using an actual codec for unity plugin and the correct lz4 library.

https://i.imgur.com/5YW40iH.png

Tick verbose mode and set up unity plugin without any level settings. This way you can see what level you should use. Nowadays unity bundle assets using lz4hc with level 12 mostly.

Code:

15:55:29 - Selected ARC/DS method for Data1a-01.bin was: xtool:munity,lz4hc,l12:lz4_193:dd3+4x4:b64mb:lzma:ultra:64m:bt4:fb273:lc8:mc1000000
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 16:01:46 - Overall input size: 4.04 GB
 16:01:46 - Overall output size: 2.57 GB (Ratio 63.62%)
 16:01:46 - Overall conversion time: 00:06:15

PS: Nothing is ripped.

dyren 18-10-2024 10:28

Snow Plowing Simulator 1.2

Code:

 11:36:04 - Selected ARC method for Data1a-01.bin was: xtool:mkraken:core_2.9.5+srep_new:393b+lolz
 11:36:04 - Selected ARC/DS method for Data2a-01.bin was: srep_new:393b+lolz
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
 20:12:46 - Overall input size: 10.24 GB
 20:12:46 - Overall output size: 7.61 GB (Ratio 74.26%)
 20:12:46 - Overall conversion time: 08:36:40

Other info:
Data1a: *.pak file only
Data2a: rest
.pak was not encrypted
Nothing was ripped

Wayfinder

You can use oggre on uexp files inside language folders.

Edit: Could even be possible to use oggre directly on pak file since oggs vorbis files are just stored in pak file without compression.

dixen 24-10-2024 12:46

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series

*.ttarch2 (&ms, *voice,*uncompressed) - srep+lzma2
4,4 gb > 2,1 gb

*.ttarch2 (rest files) cls-ttgd:game=62+XTool v0.89 (zlib+reflate)+srep+lolz
13 gb > 31 gb > 11 gb > 3,8 gb

Many thanks to Shegorat for ttgd plugin))

Just extract the OGG files, then put it back.

Without extracting the files, you might even get an error about OGGRE.

At least one of the ogg files for which oggre has problems. I am not in the mood to test over 30k files.

000000001FD1C4DB.ogg

Edit: At least 5 files are broken. For one more file oggre just crash without any error message. Good luck.

Is the variant cls-ttgd:game=62+XTool better/faster than cls-ttgd:game=62:r
There is recompression option in filter. And also supports for external zlib.dll

Has anyone watched RPF in RDR1? They seem to have LZ4 in them

Do you have a second sample? There seems no lz4, but encryption

KaktoR 29-10-2024 13:19

You have to use levels

dixen 29-10-2024 14:12

-mzstd:l19

fragments.rpf
Compressed 2 files, 2,010,618,688 => 3,723,785,054 bytes. Ratio 185.21%

Not all streams are processed, there are still many left behind.

abidnnt 31-10-2024 02:07

I'm using this method for all *.rpf files in Red Dead Redemption. But Diskspan throws an error at 9.2% while archiving. I'm not sure what the issue is.

xtool:mzstd,l19:zstd_152+srep_new:393b+lolz

The error message is this but I have plenty of disk space:

ERROR: write error (disk full?) in compression algorithm xtool:t100p:mzstd,l19

You need old version Xtool. 0.78 as example.
I also had an error on version 0.89

What i miss here ?

KaktoR 31-10-2024 10:48

Use frostbite3 bf2042 plugin

And thanks for the library.

frostbite3.ini bf2042
Code:

Library loaded: oo2core_9_win64.dll

Streams: 547329 / 550929
Time: 00:01:47 (CPU 00:10:09)

Size: 472 MB >> 905 MB

Done!!!

kraken,l8
Code:

Library loaded: oo2core_9_win64.dll

Streams: 433336 / 497320
Time: 00:09:51 (CPU 00:39:40)

Size: 472 MB >> 649 MB

Done!!!

dyren 31-10-2024 10:57

Code:

XTool is created by Razor12911

Version 0.8.9

Library loaded: oo2core_9_win64.dll

Streams: 439279 / 497320
Time: 00:12:41 (CPU 00:49:32)

Size: 472 MB >> 653 MB

Done!!!

kraken with oodle library 2.9.5 also works, not 497320 / 497320 streams tho

Edit: nvm, i sent this before KaktoR edited his message lol

KaktoR 31-10-2024 11:07

There is still space for improvement but I am not familiar with that configuration for frostbite engine

Edit: Use unbound config
Code:

Library loaded: oo2core_9_win64.dll

Streams: 550929 / 550929
Time: 00:01:51 (CPU 00:10:28)

Size: 472 MB >> 967 MB

Done!!!

And which xtool version you tested ?

But prepare for long installation times with problably not much ratio improvement.
