I need to repport kind of a bug with saving project after having changed template (started to fill in information to build setup with one template and then changing)

ASC does say that it is saving but no trace of .asc files afterward...worst, it delets existing project if you save over!

(win 10 x64 pro, asc v0.0065)

The reason for making a newer version is mainly to fix the bugs in the previous one; its really unfair for you to give the creator thumbs down repeatedly instead of being thankful, most of us are newbies just like you "i guess" but if you don't understand something i think its best you ask than reacting. #JUSTSAYING#

The only reason I am now commenting on this is because someone has now used the Report Post function and I have now become aware of it. (thanks to the person who reported this, no names need to be mentioned ;) )

Thanks matey for the update news, and really templates are awesome, I think from that I could get more things to learn in ASC :p

BTW, one feature request for upcoming ASC version, add a installation time that how much total time it taken, so we could show it with a variable :)

If I didn't get you wrong

Nope, am not talking for elapsed time or remaining time, I mean like when we start installation, then setup will start counting time internally, and then when the finished page is shown, we will use a variable like <InstallationTime> and it will show how much does it taken to install ;)

You can just do this in ASC

Yeah but the question is how.... Moving to the end of the right side then icons moves and hides and other icons comes visible

Look at the variable list in the help file, like <Username> and etc.
The only missing variables is to get GeoCountry and the number of applications running.
You can add anything in place of those, I got inspiration from this.

I had to put my things like install image and other and then the variable and it will set here on the installer program that is installed is that you mean????:confused:

I mean, after designing your sidebar, for the labels, the ones in the installer I made.
It shows
Zee, South Africa and the number of programs running.
These are just labels that I placed in the designer but what's written on the labels is just variables
Zee is the username on my system, to show this in ASC, you just have to write <Username>, South Africa is the location, this variable doesn't exist in ASC yet, so you have to put something in place of location, also with the number of applications.

You'll end up with something like in the photo I attached.

Got that but the main question is how to create slider to move icon's and show hidden I cons in row like main menu of WWE 2k15 where 7 icons show and then at the end of the 7th icon if I move mouse new icons show after 7th icons and last icons goes hidden... Hope u got it

I got this too when I modify progress bar and compile but
Then I Close asc and reopen it then it works fine...
But do not save asc

I know the fix, but if we get this error, then we are not able to save the asc template, just we have only one solution which is by closing the ASC and run it again :(

I mean if you're updating your project then don't save project.


Sometime this happen after creating the whole design and then it says failed to performe the task..... Really irritating.....


Even now I was trying to create GTA v cov while creating GTA v cov this error happen 3.5 hours wasted....... I am just Designing the installer and Even I don't use any math which give such error.....
But can't blame anyone..... Waiting for updates that we can do....

It isn't easy plus ASC is buggy at the moment.

Yeah everyday a new problem pop-ups....
Now temporary setup launched in background so what we see is only the page of asc temporary setup is running can't even minimize it even can't exit it or force stop it because if we open something like task manger it will open in background of asc nothing can help except of shutting the PC down I tried this 9 times and every time this happens....
My request is that in new update please make asc able to open the other application in front and make asc automatically run in background.... And yeah page change effects as mentioned above in new update.....

someone please help, i've split my files to two discs but how do i make a request box for the second disk in ASC, Detailed please

Last time I checked, disk request is already there, just set up your dialogs for notification, question and request. The rest is just in the documentation.
