Some FIXES Needed
 

Hello. I have been repacking with your BlackBox Design for some weeks. The new version with Splash is awesome! But the Video and Slideshow are not available to use. But why?

Please fix it. I want to add a Video/Slideshow in my Repacks. Also, add an option to add "Required Space" below than 1000MB because there are too many games below 1000MB.

I tested it several times, you can use {app} in the registry tab to make it point to the installpath

Exist any way to use rar5.0 for compressing files?

how can i create setup.exe which only use these bin files?
i mean how to make the setup.exe extract my created bin files?

The Setup is not exactly like than that of BlackBox
BB setup exes size only 1-2 Mb
Fonts on buttons are Incorrect Should Be Cleartype
espesially on Browse button
some Resolution Issues.
frames Also need Work
the Mask File Corners must be more curved
The back of progress Bar
use latest Cls srep and Precomp
or you can simply get them in BB temp

why don't u create own script then?
i did what i can. if you know how to make this better, u can make another script and u can post it here.

original bb script didn't created with inno or pascal. its created with some another programming.
i took time to create like that using inno.
original bb doesn't use any image so it require only 1-2 Mb. but original bb wont work without Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.
mine used png bmp and lot more so need space.
i think my bb script is better than original bb script..

Game size is in MB (10240 = 10GB), Or Experiment around with the numbers you will eventually get the right size conversion.

An updated User guide for using the Black box wizard have been included with this reply, hope that will help you solve and figure out the feature. Will add in more language support if needed. :)

Check out the Unarc.7z file provided on the first page, That might solve the issue with the error. wait for reply from the developer if that doesn't works.

There may be some errors with some features, The BB is still under development thus, it's not 100% clear to work without some problems, try again in the splash session on the interface tab. That will help out.

RAR5 Support is not yet implemented, I have been asking for that since it came up. Well no need to worry any way the compression format here are much much better than RAR so you wont have to worry about it at all, the script will be updated soon and since the developers are not magicians with wand it will take some time. :)

Until the source comes up there is a limit problem with games below 1 Gb or less. wait until Last knight comes up with the solution there is a slight change required in the source fields to make that right. Thank you for pointing it out.

And for using the German translations, Unless we have direct access to the code you can try replacing the default.isl file with the German.isl file. (Make sure to rename the German.isl file into default.isl) This is just a theory and i have not tried this yet so do at your own risk. :D Make sure to keep a back up of the default.isl file.
P.S :I'm attaching the 'German' Default.isl in case you need. :D

The user can always use the Browse Button to change the path of extraction,
If you want to change the default path which is implemented you wil have to manually edit the .iss file (Which i was not able to find in the folder.) :rolleyes:

This session is what you need to find and change. You can do it manually or wait until the developer comes up with the possible solution to solve this. and if you are lucky enough u will find the file needed to change this. and {pf} is the default program files dir. :)
P.S : Io in realtà non credo che gli utenti hanno ancora un controllo diretto sul percorso predefinito di estrazione, attendere maggiori dettagli da parte dello sviluppatore.

Hi, i changed the text in Default.isl to the text from German.isl.

After clicking compile, i get no error, but i get no Setup.exe too :eek:

Is there a log file? So i can find the error message and te reason why there is no Setup.exe after changing from english to german?

Figured it out, It's the code session, We have to add in the lines on the main Source, since that's where the issue is..
Since in the GUI of BB the Default.isl is called with name English and i think during compiling the compiler was not able to find the string and instead found which may have resulted in a Compiler termination at the end..
Try keeping the in the 'German' default.isl keeping the other lines untouched, just change the "LanguageName from Deutsch to English"..
Try experimenting until some thing comes up. And there valuable observations of others will help the developer to actually make the software better with more features. :)

Hello, I wanted to report a bug

When you click on the logo (Blackbox for example) screen appears ripper
and the installation hangs

Tried it and Yeah, got the same Error, Compiler exists with an Error at the end right after "Phrasing Language packages" Options. And it seems like will have to wait until our Knight comes up with a solution to change the languages. Sorry about that. :( And by the time you can give a try to the other installer makers in the forum thread which offers much flexible
options in terms of code access. :)

Thank you for pointing out the bug. :) The developer will sort it out soon enough.

I`ve tried to edit the default.isl und changed the next button to the german translation. No error, but no effect too.

After that i edited the english.isl in Languages folder in the same way -> no effect.

Which file does the blackbox v2 use for getting the words in installer?

The language options was an untouched area it seems, well the program will be updated with the suggestions, By then try out the other Installer Creators on the thread too. will help to get more flexible options with that.

the 50 is percent (%), when you let it on 100 ... the Setup will break after first file...
expample:
when you will add 5 Setup.bin`s you have to change it to 20, and so on...
