Any chance of anyone posting the MDS file on its own please though- My drive still doesn't like doing DPM ATM.

*grml* I'm waiting until 2 weeks to get run this game .... sounds like a good solution to mount this alc. mini img. The other Img don't work. Still massages like" please put the original disc instead of a copy in the drive(1000)" or something. So please give us a new link to the alc.(~50MB) img.

Why dont you just use the original disc to play whilst you are waiting for a proper NoCD method? :confused:

i get this message, too, but after a few tries the game starts (WITHOUTusing asr.exe/procyon.exe :p )
dunno why the link to the alc images is broken... and i cant upload it (to big, some kb is ok but after a few mb my system freezes....) someone else who could upload it?
and i'm wondering, too, why you dont use the original :p

I'm waiting because i'm student and share the game with 2 other guys who are living in our flat, so we wanna play a LAN game. The Single player mod is very kewl so i play with the original disc and the others still play the first episode.

What you want to do is against the law! Each person MUST own their own retail version of the game! It is illegal to install the game onto more than one machine at a time. If you want to install it onto another machine then you must unistall it from the first machine first.

Read the game EULA for more information.

I have tried many times to get this game to run in V1.16 to no success I have tried a tone of mini images, but they all give me the same error "Unable to authenticate original disc within time limit.

I am not sure why it is doing this or how to stop it, if anyone elses is getting this error, or knows how to fix it, help would be really appreciated.

P.S.: I mount with daemon tools V4.06HE with all emulation disabled, have used, prot stop, asr, and procyon. Theses all give me the same error even when I dont use any of the other tools.

which image do you use? the alc image? when i se the alc image, i get the same message, but when i use the smaller one (.mir) it works

So i repeat how it works for me: just mount in DT 4.06 and disable all emulations. And DON'T use asr, procyon, curerom or any other securom loader or disc hider. If this not works then try to disable you CD/DVD-ROM physically.

I did the exact same thing as you did, and yes, I am having the same "timeout" problem from securom. I tried the smaller (25MB) image as well. No luck so far.

BTW, does the game load up in German or English after patching 1.16? I converted my config and loca file back to ENG, but still it showed german when I loaded the 50MB mini image.

I like this game, but I can't play more than 5 min. Sad. I have mdf file (~5,96mb - all another links is broken already), trying with v1.16 patch with n without asr.exe - "found an error of emulation" was. ASAutoLoad 1.1 missed a dll file I think, because was an error about it. And I tried asr.exe with this file, just like asking in error message - useless. I tried use asr.exe in a different folders - guess.
My orig GuildII.exe is 17,7mb, Eng version. After installation a game version is 1.1. Last DT. Tried with DT scripts - was some changes, but after fast heartbeeting n timelimit of prog still is a coma. What kind a hands was made this... because of playing less then 5 min?
I used even SFNightmare: disable CD n node - nothing.
My comp: Intel Pent 1.7Ghz, 512ddr, Radeon x1300 256mb, WinXP SP2.

i patched to 1.16, then use the alcohol image in daemon tools with no emulations

start game from the splash screen appears after u mount the image, then u see the "CD-Mouse-Cursor" - just wait - most time there comes an error (timeout) - click "Repeat" - for me it works well, after 1 or 2 times of repeat the game starts and works stable

i dont use any loaders so far (asr ...)
