At last, a direct answer to that question. Thankyou.
Redirecting to a page full of links that do not include the word AntiSecuROM would only be useful if we already knew what it was ... and now we do.
Cheers.

so would someone be able to split that mini-image and up the parts please? 92 meg isnt fun at all to grab on 56k :(

Ferris23 22-02-2006 20:05

Finally!

Got the game to start every time with the mini image.

1) Mount mini image in DT with no emulation enabled.

2) Create a CureRom profile with NO virtual drive software.

3) Double click the icon CureRom places on your desktop.

Tried that step by step and after a 20 second loading Curerom tells me that "The original disk cannot be found or authenticated. "(tried mini image linked on the forums)

Multiplayer doesn't work.

Atrivis 23-02-2006 00:23

It will work if you bought the game and not get the warez. It works fine for me.

sandlegion 23-02-2006 03:30

ok, tried it and it WORKED.

download:
http://cdmediaworld.com/cgi-bin/dl.cgi?f=CureROM_131_Setup!rar

just follow simple instructions.... I didn't beleive it was that simple!!!

and I didn't even waste a cd, I have my image mounted on DT 3.47, no sr7_stop, no prot, shmut or clut, just use curerom.

I usually ask the question but It feels good helping people

I use that exact method and it works about half the time. It seems as though this new version of securom is messed up, sometimes detecting emulation when there's not and not detecting it when there is. Look in the Lucasarts tech support forum, the largest thread(s) by far are dealing with the copy protection. Bottom line, until we get a fixed .exe, use trial and error. I have got it to work using curerom 1.31 and antisecurom 1.1 (separately, not in conjunction), but neither one works every time. Don't assume that because it doesn't work once that it won't work at all. Try several times with each (restarting the computer occasionally seems to help, but I could be imagining it). One thing is 100% true in my case at least, it doesn't like Alcohol 120 must uninstall and use DT.

Anybody who tried the Securom_Loader has their windows taken longer to load than usual?

Slon 23-02-2006 16:07

After running Curerom Lite and exiting it afterwards, has anyone experienced a total system crash?

Yes, in fact I have disabled everything unless I want to run the game. Windows would load to my background, but it took far longer than usual to actually have access to Windows.

Yes. You have to disable, then exit. Also make sure you have the latest version. When it did it for me it was instant, as soon as I closed my system would reboot.

When I clicked disable, it waited for a while, then the window unfroze (I could move it, suggesting the proccess was over, disabled). I then clicked the X and every program on my computer crashed, AND I got the clock saying comp will reboot in x seconds. Win2k here. Is that the problem? Also, I couldn't download the miniimage. I tried practically every method and none worked, EVEN THOUGH the game did launch the first time I tried it. It's a paradox.

Ferris23 23-02-2006 17:31

Well, things aren't so rosey here. Granted I can run the game every time without the disc, now my computer takes forever to load and for some reason, now I can't run MSCONFIG.

So yeah, instead of playing the game I have been fucking with for the last week, now I'll troubleshoot my PC.

Awesome.
