Or if you need it the ultra fast way, don't tick any option.

But either way, without MASK it's not 4xDVD5.

That's what i do? Sorry, because I'm newbie (noob) and I do not understand. I just download and the process you say xD. Will you include this new process soon within the donwload? Or should I choose other processes besides MASK

I know it's difficult to answer, but you would know the best method that would make DVD5 full so that installation would be faster, we have MASK that comes to about 800MB on DVD 5, but I prefer DVD5 to a size of 4 , 37GB for quick installation

you cant really, ultraarc will make first dvd's as big as dvd5 will allow, but last one will never be a full dvd5, might be close but never full size.

choose any compression method you want, srep alone, srep+lzma doesn't matter really, same applies, the output will still fit max room on dvd5, as many as it takes last dvd5 will always be smallest.

don't have to use mask, try another method see what works or not.

In 99% of cases occurs only 3 errors.

-2 (The problem of ARC)
-11 (The problem of low space)
-12 (Problem of CRC)

Must use pzlib3 again, but it will be 5xDVD5.

Known bugs: On last DVD, when Data1.bin.001 is finished, Setup will ask for Data2.bin.001 on same DVD. Just select it and press 'OK'.

Apart from that all is working fine.

i did successfully compressed it to 5xDVD5, and successfully installed it using those DVD installer 2 weeks ago. Now, i want to install it again (already uninstalled the previous one) and somehow the setup is stuck at 95,3%. Do u guys have any idea what happened to the setup?

Seems xtool has problems again with some DLL files inside Game\Bin\ directory (you will get CRC errors, especially on QtWebKit.dll)...

I will update Setup asap :rolleyes:

Edit: The problem is not xtool. Either srep or lzma is the problem. Have to figure it out. Will test further tomorrow.

Edit 2: Compressor Fix added. You only need this if you get CRC error on "QtWebKit.dll" file during installation. If you get this error, copy&paste all files/folders from "Sims.4.v1.55.105.1020.Compressor.Fix.7z" to conversion folder and replace all files. Go to "Setup" folder and run "ApplyPatch.bat" to patch the Setup.exe file. Delete all files and folders in "Output" folder and start compression again.

Your that another friend might be missing some VC Redist things (don't know which years..)...

Have you Used Xtool or ztool library? If it's installed well in two pc... But giving error while it's being installed on another... Then the chance of missing VC Redist is high

I took the time to do some tests on the error reported above.
You get a headache when an error happens and you have to start over again.
I started the compression thinking that 130 GB of free space would be enough.
When running SREP at 96% there was an error due to insufficient space. Start all over again...

Compression test: The Sims 4: Deluxe Edition v1.70.84.1020 + All DLCs & Add-ons
method: xtool_reflate+srep_new+4x4:b64mb:lzma:ultra:64m:bt 4:fb273:lc8:mc1000000

Sims 4 game files: 46,823,840,493

srep temporary files: InFile = 102,962,862,810 -> OutFile = 68,213,444,126
srep required size: 171,176,306,936 = required 159.42 GB

required size: ~365.58% of game size
The maximum space used is when the first pass of SREP is at 100%
It contains the file generated by XTool (BLUE) and the file that SREP created (RED).

My second test also failed.
I decided to post the information so that you can better report the failure when it happens to you.

Despite saying that errors occurred the files were created.
Actually there was an error in DiskSpa_GUI when reading the text "All OK" from the memo to use as a reference to determine whether there were errors or not.

You could manually create the folders and Autorun.ini / Records.ini and use the conversion.
I just put the Setup.exe of the light Installer and I'm doing the installation.
Installation 100% in 39 minutes.
this proves that the ARC files were created without errors.

Always click on the "Summary" button when the conversion fails, and see if it has "All OK" on the last line and inform this when informing the failure

P.S: I tested with Setup.exe from the first post and displayed the same error.
I'll check later and share the corrected CIU script.

@KaktoR, I found out the reason for the error messages in your conversion.
You used the [CMDCommands] section of Setup.ini.
Previously I passed some script functions into the CIULib.dll library.
This function to create a cmd window does not work inside the library (only in the script it works).
Replace attached script in your CIU sorce code and recompile your setup.exe.
If you are going to keep the cmd command lines, I recommend you check if the folder exists.

bro you have a typo in the method between bt and 4
dont copy and paste use the way that Kaktor show here (https://fileforums.com/showpost.php?p=490295&postcount=20) the the Conversion works very well

Try with the new version of DiskSpan_GUI that I posted along with the Light Installer 1.0.0.8 source code.
Soon there will be a new update for CIU with some fixes and I will include the new DiskSpan_GUI.
But for now you can go using this version mentioned above.
P.S: Do not replace, delete the old COMPRESOR folder before.
It is necessary to include the "DS_Settings.ini" file in the "Resources" folder copying from the Resources folder that is in the old "COMPRESSOR" folder.
Also copy the files "Setup.exe" and "Setup.ico" from the "Setup_Files" folder.
