View Full Version : DARK SOULS III – The Fire Fades Edition (6xDVD5)
CIUv2 by Yener90, modified by BAMsE & Razor12911.
UltraARC by Razor12911.
1. Install the game. Update game, apply NO-CD if necessary.
2. Download attachment, extract to HD, NOT in Gamefolder.
3. Move _CommonRedist folder from game install directory to last dvd in extracted folder.
4. Run UltraARC_mod, Browse/Select Your installed game.
5. Make iso files with the same name of folders.
6. Test the conversion, before burning ISO.
Enjoy!!! :)

nice conversion, but wouldnt be better to use the official name(and design) of game's complete pack aka "Fire Fades edition" as seen at bottom of the page http://www.darksouls.jp/dlc2_iii.html , instead of just name of 2nd DLCs???

The application failed to start correctly, has nothing to do with conversion. Make sure all redists are installed. Run game's exe as admin.
Change the directory name from
"DARK SOULS III – The Fire Fades Edition" to
"Dark Souls III The Ringed City" and the game starts fine...
Nice conversion with only this problem
Thanks!

srep+lzma / none compression
Do yourself a favour and choose no compression :D

And how do I know when a game can not be compressed:confused:
depends.
First i manually compress one single big file with freearc m1. If the ratio is good, then i go with srep+lzma.
When srep gives just ~95-99% ratio all the time, i go with none compression.
I don't know if a detector for srep/lzma exists out there.
Example DLC2.bdt
original: 2,86GB
m1: 2,83GB
srep+lzma: 2,82 (100%: 3,072,213,503 -> 3,051,053,436: 99.31%. Cpu 28 mb/s (106.453 sec), real 29 mb/s (99.886 sec) = 107%)
Just 30MB difference. It's just not worth it.
