Hello fileforum ......
I have seen here that programmers here on fileforum uses Delphi language to build there things.. like Razor12911 JRD! And other guys..
But I am new in this section and I am starting my career as programmer (want to) so I try to choose language for startup searched on Google it confused me like hell...
So I want an little help from guys who know about this well to choose me language....
People saying on one hand that Delphi is easy to use but on the other hand they says no one now use Delhi anymore....
Help n language Which is even safer in future....
Hope anybody reply......
I m game lover (like everybody) and Designing lover..
It all depends on what you intended, if the 3D rather on the c ++ after me if I got to Delphi,
it's because I'm falling on Inno Setup at the beginning when I repack the games and with time,
I became familiar with the language pascal so I learned Delphi...

Exactly what JRD said, Delphi is easy to use but from my experience, it lacks support in a lot of new components/ports but if you're good at it, then it's nothing to worry about, you can always import stuff written in CPP or other languages as long as there is going something linking delphi program and the tool you want to use.

So Delphi is winner for startup
If you want to learn to program, you must have the minimum basic knowledge of logic programming. If you want to opt for Delphi (Object Pascal) would also be able to learn objects oriented programming.
OOP (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Object-oriented_programming)
I chose to learn C++ which is also focused on object orientation and in it you could use the Qt framework (open-source) or Embarcadero (VCL & FireMonkey) of course if you want to use graphical interface.
C++Wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%2B%2B)
c/c++ is industry standard, delphi is more a niche area, and as mentioned has limitations, to increase your chances of a job in the industry if thats what you're after i'd go for c/c++,
i've worked for many companies in the industry and i've never seen delphi as a requirement for a job... especially if the company is focusing on multi platform stuff

in my country, universities in computer science, pascal used as a basis for programming notion. there you begin to understand the structure of programming. with this knowledge, you can choose a programming language for professionally perfect yourself and be ready to go to market.
I have always made soft related to the management of hotels, bars and business tax for clothes driver programs.
So VB .NET is my base and C++ is the best for the market today! (2 years past and i´m here without anderstand c++ :P)

Yeah as you say whenever and wherever I searched they are saying or asked for c language
Now it's more confusing Going for what I am getting help for delphi but industry is about c language
But where I live computer education's station or you can say"collage" is only giving basic knowledge of computer... That's all
Even if I goto other city I didn't tried but people say they are only giving basic and then you have to do your help..... Student who are getting education there....
Going to far from my home isn't possible for me....
Iam Studying at my own or getting tutorials.... That's all...
So for me choosing language is a big headache.....
What to do now man......
i also want to do programming so Delphi is my Starter
but i am a designer also as i design for posting repacks mostly
here is an example
