Specific burner specs?

I have some problems burning dc games. i was wondering if most burners are able to burn em. mine is pretty old, its an HP cd-writer plus 7500 series. anyone know what a burner needs in order to burn dc gaems?

There is a wide choice to choose from regarding burners, I currently own 2 yamaha and 2 Plexwriters and have no problems. Good points are RAW reading and writing, Overburn etc.
