SHADOW WARRIOR - DVD9 to 2xDVD5 + GOG Version
Thanks to Yener90, Fabioddq, Peterf1999. Both @ V1.06 Now
For GOG Version, see details at bottom of post!!!!!!!

1. Install Game + Updates, NO-CD Etc
2. Download Attatchment, extract to HD.
3. Do NOT move anything from gamefolder.
4. Run Compress.bat, Type in Gamefolder & wait for compression to finish

Compression ~ 1HR
Install Time - 10Mins

DVD1 - 3.11GB * Fixed due to double file, note at bottom.
DVD2 - 3.70GB

For GOG version + 1.02 +1.03 + 1.04 +1.05 + 1.06 Update !

Edit Data2.lst & ADD
data\data_11_patch_00g.bin
save the file & THEN run compress.bat. You'll end up with same conversion
but have more update then other version.

** Thanks to Tibi68, for error in switching disks ! Never noticed it asked for Disk 1, now fixed to properly ask for Disk 2. Updated EXE's for V1.06 of the game & switched compression to -m0, as make for quicker install. If you have already done the conversion, just replace the 2 exe's from fixed_exe.rar

as long as you don't have GOG version, conversion should work fine.

How much freespace do you have ?
Hopefully you didn't extract file into gamefolder ?

how much memory in OS ?

if you look in arc.ini the srep command, is using default values, so you should have NO errors, unless your doing too much at once, & your system cant handle it.

start over again, with nothing else running in the background, no downloads etc, test to see if it gets that same error again ?

Could it be that the total size of this conversion be 1gb biggger than the instaled folder, even the DVD9 ISO file?

yes it is with the updates, but the point is, it can be easily split onto 2 dvd5, which is what most want in the first place. You could just as easily burn it to dvd9 IF you want too, but most don't want to.

finally found where the error was, hopefully you haven't burnt the iso's , replace the exe's with the V2 files :o :)

It's 1gb bigger because one file data_10_levels.bin is in both cabs. You can remove the file from one cab list.
You can even use no compresion on freearc. The results are the same and the time to convert or install is ~ 2 minutes.
Pakrat2k2, one little thing if you can repair: at the middle of install, the installer ask for disk1 instead of disk2. I mount disk2 and the installer ends ok. Can you fix the diskprompt, please? And please excuse my english, it's not my native language.

uploaded newest version, that now requests proper disk number when switching disks & changed compression to none ;)

I also saw that there is a folder called "artbook" and "soundtrack" in the root of the game. I must add also.

if you want them 'extras' included, then add them to the lst file.

So if a file that gets added by an update is not included in the list, this won't pack it with the installer? Suddenly I regret making all the conversions I have made to backup my games for better compression, I wonder how many files from updates have I left out?
