I know this is REV0's style, but I like it :D

Special thanks to Fabioddq for testing resampled biks

Yes, we know, the external download of resampled biks is slow; please, don't report it!

uses freearc compressing script based on peterf1999 (http://fileforums.com/member.php?u=123714)

autorun & installer music: Wayne's Theme (Lost Planet 3 OST)
video during installation: Frozen to Death Trailer + Captivate Trailer

DVDs: 2
size: 4.33GB (DVD1), 4.35GB (DVD2)
compression: lzma
ripped: biks resized and resampled from HD movies pack (to 1024x576), foreign languages removed (choosed during conversion)
prepare time: ~4h ([email protected] / 4GB RAM)
installation time: ~10mins
languages: ENG, GER, ESP, FRA, ITA, POL, POR(BR), RUS, TUR

NOTE: Files needed can be found in Post #26

INSTRUCTIONS:
--------------------------------------------------
1. Install Lost Planet 3.

2. Download resampled biks (see attached txt) and extract them to {game_folder}\LostPlanetGame\MoviesPC
Note: See Post #26 for file.

Tip:
Alternatively, you can do it yourself, but it takes ~24h on [email protected] / 4GB RAM:
- download own_resampling.rar,
- extract it to {game_folder}\LostPlanetGame\MoviesPC,
- run #biks_resampling.rlst and wait,
- mix in preferred audio track by running e.g. #english.rlst.

Tip 2:
You can pause the resampling process and resume it later:
- click [STOP] in RAD Batch Editor, let Bink Video Compressor finish actually converted file,
- click [SAVE AS...] in RAD Batch Editor and save as #biks_resampling.rlst,
- next time you run it, it'll start from next file.

If you must abort conversion immediately there is 2nd method:
- click [STOP] on RAD Batch Editor and it'll generate "# Error returned:" message at the beginning of line with actually converted file,
- delete "# Error returned:" text, click [SAVE AS...] and save as #biks_resampling.rlst,
- click [CANCEL] on Bink Video Compressor and answer [NO] if asking about keeping partially converted file,
- you can run it later and it'll start conversion from last converted file.

3. Download LP3_2xDVD5.rar and extract it to any {TEMP} (NOT in {game_folder}). Be sure to have at least 9GB of free space on the drive.
Note: See Post #26 for file.

4. Go to {TEMP}, run compress.bat:
- choose your game folder,
- choose preferred language for audio (ingame & cutscenes),
- choose to shut down your PC after conversion or not (yes, you can go sleep now :D )

5. Make iso/burn content of LP3_# folders with any label

UPDATE 1 (126 downloads before):
--------------------------------------------------
- Turkish added at maviay2511 request,
- some button placement correction.

UPDATE 2 (178 downloads before):
--------------------------------------------------
- added support for another DLC (thanks to pakrat2k2),
- changed movies compression from m0 to lzma to gain more space for DLC.

Yep looks very good Bamse, post layout and instructions are also nice and clear and well laid out.
My only suggestion would be to change 'INSTALATOR SCREENS' to either 'Install Screens' or 'Installation Screens' ;)

Turkish added, also some fixes in button placement.

Nice to hear all your positive words guys. Truly it was difficult for graphic designer to edit the script and achieve the effect of smallinstaller. Also prepare the compress.bat was a challenge

one question BAMsE, does the HD video, contain audio for all languages or just English ?

BAMsE
11-09-2013, 05:47
HD movies are nothing else but normal ones with 3 times better bitrate, including the same resolution and containing the same audio tracks (English in 44kHz, rest in 22kHz. My ones contain all possible audio tracks in 22kHz, and unnecessary are removed during conversion.

Now, if you don't want to download 2.5GB of resampled biks, you can do it yourself.
Whole process takes ~24h on my [email protected] / 4GB RAM.
Have fun.

thanks but what about update 1 ? another DLC, DLC-POPack2 512MB that's NOT in data3.lst or eng.lst ( any of lang.lst files )

EDIT

I just edited in data3.lst, & eng.lst the following lines for the update 1 DLC ( POPack2 ) Because I wanted English Version,
You can do the same just change it for your language.

LostPlanetGame\DLC\CookedDLCPacks\PCConsole\DLC-POPack2\DLC-CookedPCConsole\French(France)\*
LostPlanetGame\DLC\CookedDLCPacks\PCConsole\DLC-POPack2\DLC-CookedPCConsole\German\*
LostPlanetGame\DLC\CookedDLCPacks\PCConsole\DLC-POPack2\DLC-CookedPCConsole\Italian\*
LostPlanetGame\DLC\CookedDLCPacks\PCConsole\DLC-POPack2\DLC-CookedPCConsole\Spanish(Spain)\*

Final DVD Size:
DVD1 - 4.33GB
DVD2 - 4.38GB

Increased DVD2 by .05GB

Graphics are looking just flawless,I think you can work for game companies for making thier installers.

Definitely agree, I also think there are quite a few members here who should be sending their installers to game companies. ;)

Amd Asus Quad core 3.6ghz
8Gb mem
1Gb nvidia graphics
2Tb space

Done this conversion in hrs all in all and good too. Keep it up and do some more if can IE.....Tom clancy's blacklist to less than 5 discs be good as there a download of 10.6gb but how many discs that ;)

Compression time: Cpu 6394.11 secs, Real 3865.56 secs. Speed 1,295 KB/s data cab1 Disc 1.
Compression time: Cpu 873.50 secs, Real 576.03 secs. Speed 1,606 KB/s data cab2 Disc 1
All done 1.25 hours Disk 1.

Compression time: Cpu 4759.76 secs, Real 2965.19 secs. Speed 2,120 KB/s data cab3 Disc 2
Compression time: Cpu 3424.74 secs, Real 2128,78 secs. Speed 1,671 KB/s data cab4 Disc 2
All done 56 mins Disk 2.

Install time 17.17 mins.

And don't be overly excited as this does not fit on 2 dvd 5's as disc 2 is 5.29gb so is 952mb overload so needs sorting to other bigger volume disc !!

And 24h to download 2.5gb must be slowest ever as i do that in less than 3 hours with 3.5mb download speed so yours defo slower than that and comp setup makes no difference :)

Apologies to BAMSe for this conversion missing from the Index, wasn't intentional. It is now in the Index. ;)

Thanks to Pakrat for pointing out the mistake. ;)

You can d/l parts from different servers, so 4 files at time. Even with limitations you could be able to complete it in 24 hours doing it in background while normal PC using. Believe me - resampling will take you 100% of CPU and your PC will be unusable for ~20 hours (depending on the rig)

Yeah but, since MediaFire and/or ZippyShare are more "free-user-friendly" in regards with no waiting time, why not use them?

ZippyShare even allows 2 parallel downloads for free / non-registered users.

ZippyShare changes names of uploaded files so you can't u/l rar in parts :) Such anti-warez protection I think :P

PutLocker.com is ok, but for free you are limited per day, 600MB or 3 files, I think. Filefactory and DepositFiles are slow and limited, too. Tiny.pl is offline. The links are dead. Only if you have enough free time to stay all the day you can d/l all the files in one day. Or you can use JDownloader and put all the links to do the job for you and d/l all the files one by one.

Putlocker best as well billionuploads is as well can do 4 links at once with them and more on pl anyway as i done 8 in 4 hours on my slow download of 5.3mb :);)

Mirrors added on MediaFire and BillionUploads (thx mates for info). Also SkyDrive works good now.
ZippyShare have still problems with filenames while remote u/l so is useless for me :o

how about update 3 ?

REV0
14-11-2013, 06:35
Why not Google Drive ? I'm using Drive for everything got an account for 125GB on monthly. Even if it's free it offers unlimited deadline for links. Zippyshare and Billion links will be dead in 20/30 days after upload, Mediafire acts like a douchebag and delete links whenever they want, lost 50GB of uploads because of them, switched to GDrive, never had one freaking problem.

Added mirror on Google Drive.
Thx REV0 for info

I used the Google Drive links. They were very fast and allowed 8+ parallel downloads. Thanks.
