.pck files -- help wanted !!

Hello, I have some pc games with me which have the audio files with the extension ".pck". Can anyone please tell me how to extract the contents from such a file and pack stuff into one such file ?????

Which games? Examples, please! (Multiple games may have files of the same extension but different format.)
