Metro Last Light - 2xDVD5 *CIU v2+srep+FreeArc lzma* *Updated 09/26/2013*

Based on CIU v2 by yener90; Compress.bat based on Peterf1999 and BAMsE scripts;
Music: "Enter the Metro" from Original Soundtrack;
Video: Enter the Metro - Live Action Short Film;
Background Windows: Edited from an image found in DeviantArt;
Reg entries: Not needed;

Note: Remove your original uninstall files before you make the conversion;
Don't move redist folder, leave in the game directory.

Tip: You can remove other languages and make the conversion without compression;

About Versions:

v1.0: First release (3010 downloads);

v1.1: (66 downloads);
- Updated to CIU v2;
- Added splash;
- Added support to update 5 and the new Faction Pack DLC;
- Added new background images from the DLC;
- Added new soundbuttons;
- Added Enter the Metro music from original soundtrack;
- Added minor compression to fit on 2xDVD5;

v1.1 HotFix: (532 downloads);
- Fixed HomePageSelected button that didn't appear;

v1.3
- Updated GameSize according to the last update and all DLCs;
- Added more compression on Data1.cab;

1. Install the game, updates and DLCs, latest update 12 (1.0.0.14). Download attachment and extract (not in game folder);

2. Run Compress.bat, type your game directory and wait for finished successfully!

3. Make ISO and test before you burn. Not need anymore the ImgBurn installed to make the ISO. ImgBurn.exe is included on the conversion files.

Final Sizes:

DVD1: 4.33GB
DVD2: 3.48GB
Installation time: ~ 10 min

Attachment posted. You can reduce the size with less languages and more compression. But i advise will not fit in 1xDVD5.

My conversion works great, but the installation doesn't....
I start the autorun and I go to the installation, but, in the extract, the installation doesn't continue...freeze in the extraction of random files......>(

The video/audio button in the installation has a problem too...when you turn off the video, the button doesn't change for audio, and shows video: off....when you click in the button, it changes for audio:on or off.....

7 or 8 min without redist. The installation started with 20 min remaining, but this time fall fast after extract big files.

I would have to edit style.ini, recompile the exe's and upload the files.
But i advise you, the background images has 1280 x 720 resolution and video too.
If displayed in full screen, you lose a little resolution. Anyway, if you wish this, request me by PM and i upload the new files for you. But will take some time. My upload speed is sucks. :D

The conversion is based on Limited Edition and full audio languages and subtitles. Just change the language in options menu. ;)
You can remove other languages that you don't need if you wish. :)

I think is very easy. But take some time to create graphic arts, test, etc...
To a basic installer is very quickly. No need create any line code, except reg entries. All configurations are in Setup.ini.

I see many people talking about your last version of CIU and few errors, but that error I never see, I never had a problem with the conversions than I used....
I try the Fabio's conversion and Spawn's conversion....

Generally I use Photoshop CS5, Fireworks CS5 and GIMP 2 and a little creativity. :D

The conversion using Inno always. Just you don't see the source.
You have to post some images of your errors. To see the videos you need a codec. Just install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.

Probably you can't play this game with your rig. Low processor and x86 S.O.

New update: AMD fixes and FOV
A patch has been released on Steam to fix issues with AMD hardware, and improve performance for these cards. It's live now, but might take a few minutes to reach everyone. Restart your client or verify local files if it doesn't download automatically.

It also fixes a shadow visual corruption bug on AMD 7xxx cards, and fixes an issue with the game starting only in 3:1 resolution on some TVs.

In addition, you can now customize the FOV this way:

After starting the game up, the user.cfg will be updated with the r_base_fox attribute. You can find this in %LOCALAPPDATA%\4A Games\Metro LL\. Tweak it at your leisure!

Conversion tested with update 2. Works fine, no need update the conversion.

Well, i tested with srep and one language. I got 6.11GB without video and low quality song. So i think not worth the penalty.

and at the end of the installation I get this error messages runtime error (at 831:3508) "invalid Opcode" and other that says "out of stack range", (3 times but without error number), other of out of range too.

and as I said, when is installing I get the background image of the installation without anything, I mean, no progress bar, no nothing, I press alt+tab and then I see the messages and the progress bar, at the end all data is there, and the game works fine but as I told I got those messages.

I must say that at the beginning of the installation every thing is fine buttons and messages.

so I was thinking that maybe you and Fabio has maybe a program that I don't and that's why I get the errors

yes this happens all the times i try to install whit this conversion,
how do i show u the pic of the error?

and i Have a amd phenom X6 1055t 2.8 GHz
8 gb in ram, Nvidia Gforce 440, and HD 1 on 400 gb, 1 of 1 Tb, and 1 of 320 gb SATA, and win 7 x64

i now is not to much but Works fine whit almost every game

Edit: Fabio ill try the codec pack, although I have the codec pack installed whit tiger player aka mpcstar

No MP in this game. For only english remove the following files:

sounds.de.vfs0
sounds.es.vfs0
sounds.fr.vfs0
sounds.it.vfs0
sounds.ru.vfs0

But in my opinion to keep the atmosphere, this game is much better with russian audio. :D

Depends of your system. You have all 3 updates installed? I think solves the problem with AMD cards. In any case, this game is very poorly optimized but run better with Nvidia cards.

My cousin have the same specs,except Graphics card is gt 440 2gb ddr3...and crysis 3 worked way too smooth.It's definetely the damn defect of games....

Update your Graphic Card drivers. Search for latest WHQL drivers on www.nvidia.com
Update your VCRedist and DirectX. You can find those from Microsoft's website or go to www.filehippo.com

If that doesn't work... Dunno, reinstall your OS?

Your PC spec is good enough so you can play the game as I have installed it on Laptop with worse spec 2 days ago and it works (with little lags here and there but overall, works perfectly).

Yep, but this problem is solved on CIU 1.0.1.4 (I will update soon). For me works when i run as admin. Or just delete the files and delete the reg key.

you can uninstall the game using revo uninstaller so if the uninstall fails, the program detect the reg key and the game folder to delete.

An hint for the next conversion : in the italian language, at the end of the installation, the correct form is "Installazione completata", not "installazione finito".

Works great with all dlcs, and on Win7 Ultimate 64bit.

BTW, for all those having problems with the video not playing and the error that goes with it, I fixed this issue by installing win7codecs by shark, or use k-lite if it suits you. Also i was using avira free antivirus and i had to disable the real time protection. (not really, but it helps sometimes)
