Dead Island Riptide Conversion

hi guys here I left you my conversion for this game.

First the proper thanks to:

Yener90 for his CIU 1.0.1.2
Peterf1999 for his method of compression
Fabioddq for his base .bat file

Instructions

1- Install the game

2- Download attached file and decompress wherever you want (not in game folder)

3- Launch compressor.bat and wait

4- test conversion, burn or make iso.

final size: 2,7gb

I found the error, before compress open data2.lst an edit:

DI\DataEng.pak


for


DI\DataEs.pak


and compress again the data2.cab only.

you Could also remove the other languages from data2.lst ( ones you dont want ), also remove those pak files from DI folder in game.

And how about explaining what "Here not work."?
Just saying that it does not work ain't gonna help fixing it.

Does it start? Does it show errors? Does it fails to start?

Appears in the taskbar but no window opens.
To close just finalizing the process and autorum.tmp autorum.exe.
Probably is the password that is not extracting Setup.cab.
Setup.exe files are extracted to a temporary folder, but not the Setup.cab.

I try internal but when I make the iso didn't work, but already find the error is not the password the problem, by mistake I zip 2 times setup.cab one inside the other so I guess that's the problem.

The problem is not the setup.cab. The Yener updated the file 7z.com (Responsible for extraction), but was only running on 64 bit systems. Do not know if it works in Windos 7 32 bit, but does not work in XP. Tested on Windows 7 64 bits and is OK.
PS: If I click on 7z.com on windows XP displays the message: Not a valid win32 application. In the Windows 7 x64 opens a DOS window quickly.
Perhaps the Yener fix this bug, but I needed a solution for the bug in the music button CIU 1005 and 1006 and so far he got me. I am waiting with my design Darksiders 2.

Please Yener, if not want to release 1.0.12 CIU your work is fine, but if possible please PM me with the necessary lines in the script I replace 1.0.0.6. You said to have solved this bug in the latest versions. Or better, just launch a Hotfix (HF CIU 1.0.0.6).

Thanks for the conversion, although I'm curious why setup.tmp is asking for internet access(it's trying to access a Verisign ip and VirusTotal (https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/c4b517334be8d6ece92240806c0851928bfc84dd635b81a953 2816b0d7d10c69/analysis/1367537371/) says it's ok).

In any case I've made a few edits for a quicker install and compression(precomp and srep aren't needed for a DVD5), as well as added support for the Fashion Victim DLC and fixed the missing file(DataEs.pak).

1. Get the original conversion.
2. Overwrite the original files with the ones in the attachment.
3. Get the fixed cab file spawniectes has previously uploaded and overwrite the original.
4. Run compressor.bat

Compression time: about 10 minutes
Install time: about 3 minutes(more if you install the redists)

Size: 4.17 GB

Data1: 1.63 GB
Data2: 2.36 GB
Data3: 134 MB

but little edit for shourchut, folder and jpg background and all jpg in setup.cub

For me works. I'm using Win7 64 bit. You try reboot the PC before run the exe's?

yes.....I execute before and after the conversion and the reboot the PC....I have W7 x86....

For me, the error occurs only when i try uninstall. Run as administrator works sometimes, so i delete the reg entries and after delete the game.
yener already fixed the problem. :D
