This works for the latest version of the game, as downloaded from Steam? (eg Fabioddq's doesn't, natively (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=94369))?

Yep, it works for lastest version, dlcs included.

To avoid issues on some system, I suggest to decrement the amount of PPMD compression memory, modifying one command line (Compress.bat) as follow:

from:

-msrep+ppmd:1024m

to:

-msrep+ppmd:512m

Read one post above, however:

Modifying one command line (Compress.bat) as follow:

from:

-msrep+ppmd:1024m

to:

-msrep+ppmd:512m

Delete only Data2.bin archive from RE6_2xDVD5\RE6\Disk2 folder and then re-launch Compress.bat.

It's a weird error (not enough memory) raised also on systems with enough physical ram, maybe an unarc.dll bug.
