i have a ps2 v5, need help

At the moment not much is known about the 30002-R. There are no diagrams for this model and sony fixed it so the cog,knife method will not work. far now your best bet is to sit tight for a month or so until it is cracked.

The new model is 30003R and YES you can use the cog/knife/card method. This board is not compatible with the NEO4 mod, playstationmods are currently working on a 4.1 version to sort this problem out. I would think this will be sorted in a week or two.

Whatever board Sony bring out there will always be a solution to play backups on your ps2.

Hi , I have a few questions, If i have read correctly the only boot cd that will work with this model is the AR2 v2. No other version of AR2, region-x or gameshark2 will work. If so then what about the Gamers in the US? Surely this model is not limited to PAL only. so if i am correct then at this time there is no way to play backups on a ntsc V5 PS2 because AR2 is not for ntsc systems. Also it was my understanding that the rom has been changed and updated so that the knife swap will not work.( the front of the tray is no longer removable). If anyone can shed a little light on this or recommend a good site with info please post.
