Resident Evil 6 (One or two Audio Languages) - 2xDVD5 *CIU+srep+FreeArc lzma*

Based on CIU 1.0.1.2 by yener90; The installer has a video (3 min 21 seconds);

Note: Don't move support folder. Leave in game directory.

1. Install the game. Download attachment and extract;

2. Move extra contents (Digital Soundtracks & Artbook) to RE6_2 folder;

3. Go to your game directory and move/delete four audio languages that you don't need:


nativePC\sound\ev\se
nativePC\sound\se\demo\source
nativePC\sound\se\radio\source

3. Run compress.bat, type your game directory and wait for Finished!

4. Make ISO's and test before you burn.

Final sizes: (Installation time: ~ 15 min)

DVD1: 4,34 GB
DVD2: 3,21 GB with extra contents

its closed source that is why no setup.cab.u wont be able to edit anything.its cause no1 can steal someones work and post as there own on pirate sites and torrents.

amd quad 8 gb corsair dominators 1600mhz and 120gb ssd vortex 4.but i was doing conversion on the same hdd.it should be faster if i had a second ssd.

nice yener :-) ssd is godsend the read and write speeds of my ssd is around 500mb.but is halved if u read and write at the same time to the same hdd.i think will test ssd to ssd conversion tomorrow see if i can get a spare ssd from work to see what inprovements it will have.this is the one i am using at the moment http://ocz.com/consumer/vertex-4-sata-3-ssd.

- cpu
- ram
- ssd

if one component is slow, then it will influence the speed of the other hardware.

You can but need reorganize all files in Data*.lst or will not fit.

Data1.cab has 9.714.441.927 bytes ( ~ 10GB). With compression reduce to 4.25GB.

Just leave it for a while... The game has around 12k files (11097, after you are done removing all unneeded language files). Biggest file is around 80mb while smallest are 16 bytes. It takes a while for Arc to cache them all before it starts compressing them.

For me, the conversion works perfectly. I'm play now from the conversion.

Other thing: Remove your original uninstall files before you make the conversion (Unins000.dat; Unins000).

I didn't forget to add. I left without splash to increase the performance of the installer on low systems. :p
You may notice that the installer (welcome page) opens much faster without using splash. :cool:

make sure u uninstall the original install properly and just to make sure u clean the old reg files use ccleaner.use ccleaner to clean windows temp files also.i had this issue also this worked for me after u clean make sure u reboot. :-) hope this helps

Hmm... I understand, i needed to update the conversion in this case after patch 2. Move some files for DVD2. I'm currently busy, so i will update when i have time.

For now, make the conversion with patch 1 only, and put the patch 2 on DVD2.

After the conversion, install the game, isntall patch 2 and play.

it does fit with update 1. but make sure to delete the extra lang files, as noted in post #1.

Collection_vfre.arc ( fre, ger, ita, spa, pol, rus etc ), Custom_vfre.arc, etc look through whole directory & you see alot more.

580 files to be exact that arent needed for english only. ( 64 more files added after Update 2 ) Total = 644 files Update 1 + 2

Using original compress.bat ( deleted other lines for data2.cab, data3.cab ( testing now, compressing 1132 files VS 1234 )
will post result from data1.cab

Data1.cab with those 580 language files still intact = 4.25GB, removing those files & re-running the bat file Data1.cab now = 4.10GB.

FINAL EDIT:

With the changes I've noted above, with the changes by andersonj ( thanks for that ;) ALL fits on 2xdvd5 WITH updates 1+2.
DVD1 = 4.20GB
DVD2 = 3.35GB

Delete - Except the Sound filed (as Fabio noted in the convesion info) - About 620 other language files

...& i've used andesondj's addition for Data2.lst

The Game Installed & Worked Fine.!

This conversion was released on March 25th.
Grumpy mentioned that Index got messed up at some point and that it's contents were partially lost. He is updating it slowly.
Just wanted to mention RE6 threads and their absence from the Index, that's all.

There are actually 6 Resident Evil conversions missing from the Index.
In total there are currently 284 conversions missing from the onsite Index. I have located all the missing ones, I just got to add them back in now, will hopefully have them added over the next few days. Thanks anyway ;)

There is also a bunch of other lang files in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Resident Evil 6\nativePC\arc\DX9

Collection_vfre.arc ( fre, ger, ita, spa, pol, rus etc ), Custom_vfre.arc, etc look through whole directory & you see alot more.

580 files to be exact that arent needed for english only. ( 64 more files added after Update 2 ) Total = 644 files Update 1 + 2

Using original compress.bat ( deleted other lines for data2.cab, data3.cab ( testing now, compressing 1132 files VS 1234 )
will post result from data1.cab

Data1.cab with those 580 language files still intact = 4.25GB, removing those files & re-running the bat file Data1.cab now = 4.10GB.

FINAL EDIT:

With the changes I've noted above, with the changes by andersonj ( thanks for that ;) ALL fits on 2xdvd5 WITH updates 1+2.
DVD1 = 4.20GB
DVD2 = 3.35GB
running this batch on folders
nativePC\arc\DX9 and nativePC_dlc\arc\DX9
will delete unecessary language
also remove lag folders from nativePC\data\id

Thanks, Fabio. Works great on Win7 Home Premium 64bit. I've did this with update 6 and one language only. You can find my compressor.bat and .lst files in the attachment. If you want some other language instead of English, just change it in the .lst files ;)

Installed just fine on my other computer. Win7 Ultimate 32bit on that one, and Win7 Home Premium 64bit on laptop. I haven't changed Fabio's method of compression, just list of files.

Looks like your cab file is corrupted. Try making another one on some other partition or defragment your HDD. Maybe it's a RAM related error.

Leave the same files you've downloaded with Fabio's conversion. Just copy/paste my files in his folder replacing his compressor.bat and .lst files.
