Tomb Raider
(2x DVD5) *INNO+Precomp+Srep+FreeArc(LZMA)* *1 Language*

1) Install the game

2) Extract 'TR_2xDVD5.7z' contents (not in game folder)

3) Remove the following foreign language files from game's folder:

bigfile_foreignlanguage.000.tiger
patch_foreignlanguage.000.tiger
title_foreignlanguage.000.tiger

4) Launch Compress.bat & wait...

5) Move from game's folder to 'TR_2xDVD5\TR\Disk1' folder:

'movies' folder
'redist' folder

6) Burn or make isos with label names of your choice

Final size of both discs ~ 6.6 gb

please make-it to 8 gb and saving compression time and installation time 6.6 gb is too small and i ithink is took some time to compress and install

LOL, you are the first who wants more large installation files. :eek:

Compression time: ~ 1h 30 mins

Installation time: 13 mins

My system: FX 6300 + 8gb DDR3 @1866 MHZ Win7 x64

Try to remove Precomp from command lines -mprecomp:t-jnf

This is just 1 SPOKEN language limit! See, it seems that no matter which spoken language you leave in the gamedir, all others are still supported -- but just as subs. I had it when I set the game to run in PL, but with english audio files. The Polish subs appeared just all right ;)

Simple, at step 3 keep the files of two languages and then continue the conversion.

e.g.:
for english+french, keep the following files:

patch_ENGLISH.000.tiger
title_ENGLISH.000.tiger
bigfile_ENGLISH.000.tiger
patch_FRENCH.000.tiger
title_FRENCH.000.tiger
bigfile_FRENCH.000.tiger

Hi!, I need to leave the game in English and Spanish, but I see these files:

don't know what the hell is the problem, but it started with far cry 3 conversion and is present in this one as well.........
After every 0.5 increase [ in the no. which is shown after second pass ] it stops for 20 -25 min. for no reason....
I want the game in 2xdvd5...help.

maybe...but my pc is running fine.yeah,also after hybernation when open pc after 2-3 hrs. later the process works fine for some no. then again the same thing.

2 GB DDR 2 RAM

Windows 8 pro x64 bit

320 GB HDD

It works previously but the prob. started with far cry 3......
also I have fully updated Eset Smart security and my computer is running perfectly and no problem,no virus......

lol.....fine I get it....come to think of it I usually done everything on Windows XP before....except Far cry 3 and this one cause Win XP gives some memory error......

btw its says sth. like this in win 8-

You can speed up Precomp for THIS FILE with these parameters :
-z148,81 -d0

ques. is where to add these parameters?:confused: also will it help in win 8 somehow,cause i have this windows only for next 4 months as I am low on budget........buyed it in discount period.

Hi. Sorry to revive an old thread but finally got around backing up my installation and after compressing and trying the installer it gives me extraction error on the third archive (every single time. only once the error appeared in the second archive).

The only difference I made was making it 2 audio languages (Eng and Ita) but that doesn't explain the problem since language files is compressed in the second archive, not third (which contain only the binaries)

Oh, and my system is PhenomX4 with 4GB RAM

First: I do not have survival edition. Never said I have.
Second: As I mentioned CAREFULLY in my previous post, the error happens during extraction of third archive, which have nothing to do with the game being 2 Audio langs or single lang.

sorry it took me a while to respond. I had to recreate the error with original arc.exe, precomp and srep EXEs which you provided in your conversion so I deleted existing archives and started from scratch. I even UNINSTALLED FreeArc to make sure the commands are called from the conversion directory and not from FreeArc PF path

here is some more details.

available free memory: 2.8GB of 4GB
no Antivirus programs are installed
x64 OS installed (Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, tried both)

Extracting Data3.bin ...

Current file:

Elapsed: 19 mins Remaining: --

error message:

(!)ISDone.dll

An error occured when unpacking!
Unarc.dll returned an error code: -1
ERORR: archive data corrupted (decompression fails)

(Not a single file of Data3.bin has been unpacked, starting with TombRaider.exe which returns 0kb size)

The error message is clear: the archive is corrupted.

Try to test the archive integrity with arc.exe itself, type from conversion folder:

arc t TR\Disk2\Data3.bin

and then re-create the archive if it still corrupted.

The image below shows the result of archive integrity of my Data3.bin:

You can also remove Precomp from compression chain (remove the letters & symbols in red) , modifying the batch as follow:

I have tried it a couple of times and each time I get the same error after an hour :
can't allocate memory required for (de)compression in lzma
I have 3gb ram. isnt this enough?
