Based on CIU v2 by yener90. Compress.bat based on Peterf1999 and BAMsE scripts;
Music: "The Trade" from soundtracks; Video: I can't remember the name; Reg Keys: Not needed;

Note:
Don't move redist files. Leave in the game folder; Remove your original uninstall files before make the conversion;

v1.0: First release - External: 2846 downloads; Internal: 2461 downloads;

v1.1:
- Added support to all updates and DLC's;
- Updated GameSize;
- Updated to CIU 1.0.0.6;
- Added more compression to Data2.cab or will not fit in 2xDVD5;

v1.2: (992 downloads)
- Fixed bug's;
- Updated to CIU 1.0.1.0 (Special thanks to yener90);

v1.3: (1151 downloads)
- Added video during installation (Cinematic Trailer);

1. Install the game, all updates and DLC's. Download attachment and extract in your HD (Not in game folder);

2. Run Compress.bat, select your game directory and wait for Finished!

Because of external compression. Here 8,40 GB (9.028.513.815 bytes) with DLC + redist.

Data1.cab: Srep+Freearc lzma --> 5,62 GB (6.034.849.748 bytes) to 3,41 GB (3.664.683.469 bytes)
Data2.cab: compression none --> 2,78 GB (2.990.844.323 bytes)

And have space to put a video. :D

Anyway, thanks for info, i will test with internal installation and post the conversion here soon. ;)
I think, you use internal compression... I'm so accustomed to test with external, that forgot completely the internal compression. LOL :o

Conversion works perfectly on Win 7 x64 but I noticed something strange! After the installation is almost complete and there remains to install only what's in REDIST folder (DirectX, vcredist, etc ....) background image is black and remains only small installer to the end of installation!!I tried so {app} game folder and so {src} DVD - Same thing!!With CI 8.5.7.4. that problem does not exist,backrgound image is Ok to the end of installation.I want to know if I happen just me or is something wrong in the CIU script!

Hi! Yes, move original uninstall files (if exist), then back after make the conversion to uninstall your original files.

You can use the autorun.exe available I think. If not work, compile LangScript.iss to make a new Autorun.exe.

Yes, but you need organize all files for each game. And compression methods too. You need to test several times for each game. The level of compression varies from file to file.

To make a installer you can use CI or CIU by yener90.

OK, I encountered an error.

In Setup.ini for internal compression you should remove the Extract Settings that mention the cabs, otherwise you'll stick to an unskippable disk prompt.

Also, isn't it possible to leave the redists out instead of having 'em in gamedir?

EDIT: OK, problem solved. My crazyass burner screwed up the damn Setup.ini file, luckily I don't have to reburn the game as it's the only file corrupt. I just need to keep the setup.exe and associated files on HDD and point the discs to it.

Could you provide the internal compression version again? This FreeArc/srep thing is a sick joke, requires three times as much space as the game itself takes for temporary files.

The only changes I made were: HDD space (14024 instead of 90something), compression level (from none to lzma2/ultra64), redist placement (so that it's installed from the DVD) and removal of the FreeArc .cab references. All done via modifying Setup.ini. Unfortunately I rushed and removed the conversion files from HDD by now.

All DLC/updates included. The DLC and updates don't require any special treatment. The Internal Compression version just compresses all files in the game folder indiscriminately so what you compress is what you get. I could've put like 10 porn movies for Dante to watch over there and inflate the game by another DVD and the installer wouldn't be the wiser. The game has no registry that matters.

My cab's have exactly these files.

Data1.cab: DevilGame\CookedPCConsole\*
Data2.cab: All files except Data1.cab

Anyway, you can make your cabs since they have the same names. (Data1.cab: DVD1; Data2.cab: DVD2)

i got the same error when i tried to uninstall the game (runtime error).
but it install and play fine.
the uninstall paste has these files: 7z.com, 7z.dll, 7z.exe, botva2.dll, innocallback.dll, setup.cab, setup.ini, unins000.dat, unins000.exe.
my game has 2 update + all dlc (weapon, costume, vergil and blood palace)

Issue with desktop icon, it creates shortcut to :
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DMC Devil May Cry\Binaries\Win32"

Not "C:\Program Files (x86)\Capcom\DMC Devil May Cry\Binaries\Win32" like default choice & the start in box for shortcut is wrong as well.

both are missing the Capcom subfolder.

Ok. I reinstall 3 times in different paths. No issues. Anyway, i will update to CIU v2 soon. :D

Only one issue. My game used to work perfectly before, but now since i've converted and reinstalled, it does not want to work anymore. Virgils' Downfall works ok, but the main game keeps crashing when it tries loading the first video.

This has nothing to do with the conversion. Here works perfectly. Main game and all DLCs.
I tested several times. Probably you have missing files.

Download the attachment and check your files.

Instructions:

1. Extract;
2. Put DMC.All.Updates.and.DLCs.sfv in the game folder and open with QuickSFV (http://www.quicksfv.org/download.html)

I see now. Somehow my lighting and texture files are corrupted. Will redo conversion again and test.

Not really necessary, just click on Video On button during install, will disabled the video.

- Rebuilded Splash.png and SmallInstaller.png;
- Changed ProgressImg.png and ProgressBackground.png color (White to red);
- Changed place of Data.cabs to gain space on DVD2;

Disk full? You need lot of space to temp files and Data.cabs to make the conversion. Make sure if you have.

Yes, delete Autorun.exe and replace Setup.exe and Autorun.inf.

Anyway, i re-organize the filelist to gain more space in DVD2. So make the conversion again if you wish.
