DEADLIGHT DVD5 Installer Inno + Freearc

Source: YENER90

1: Install the game and install the PATCH 1.1

2: FreeArc need to be installed on your system

3: Download attachment extract completely (wherever you want)

4: Go to install directory....move redist folder to DEADLIGHT

5: Go to install directory,run FreeArc,compress the following files

all files and folders

Output archive: Data1.cab
Compression: No compression: -m0
Make exe: Not checked

6: Now Move Data1.cab to Deadlight folder

7: Burn or Make iso content with any label

hi Fabioddq from what i have been checking on the net u can unlock the fps in the ini file in the game dir.dont have game yet to make sure.

That's what I needed! Now it's very better with 60FPS! Thanks! :D

Instructions in this link above:

To remove the 30fps Frame Cap

Browse to \My Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\LOTDGame\Config\LOTDEngine.ini
Find MaxSmoothedFrameRate=30 (there are two MasSmoothFrameRate)
Change the value to whatever you want!

senseman, any way to integrate the 30fps fix into the installer ? So that you dont need to change that value everytime you want to play the game ???

just change is manually and then just recompile the game so when u install it will install it with the fps fix :-)

the 'fix' has NOTHING to do with game files..
its in \My Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3
\LOTDGame\Config\LOTDEngine.ini

which is different for every person dependant on OS.

worked fine BUT the white text on tan background ( screenshots 3 / 4 ) are very hard to read... will have to change it to something more readable ? thanks for posting fix.

hi, I'm new... I try to do this convertion , the conversion goes well, but when I install the game in Spanish and start, the game is in English .. not Spanish. :(

english audio, spanish subs ( which needs to be enabled ingame. ) According to steam community there is NO spanish audio ( voice ) JUST subs!

I install the game again and then do the conversion, choose Spanish .. the game is installed correctly ... Start the game and in-game texts, menus and subtitles are in Spanish and English voices ... not change anything in the game to bring in Spanish ... Then I installed the game with the conversion, it ends, I make the ISO and install the game again, start the game and texts, subtitles are in English. What could be wrong?

just use this code below to fix temporarily, until new script is corrected

Just change the 001 to 005 & save the file, rename to extension to reg & import it. Oh & correct install dir too, IF yours doesnt match.
make sure the \\ are there as its a reg file.

you can change the compression from -m0 to something more BUT it will take longer to uncompress the file.

Thanks for the effort put in this conversion senseman! Tested under w7x64 spanish, worked perfectly!

With compresion set to "ultra" it goes up to 2957mb.

Ps: Fps-cap fix didn't worked for me, before executing the game for first time the value was set to "60", but after entering the game it reseted back to "30", changing it manually did the job. Kind Regards!

Go to Conversion/Deadlight folder and set ini file as read-only, re-compile

Thanks REV0! I found and alternative way though: editing "Deadlight\LOTDGame\Config\LOTDEngine.ini" with correct parameter (60) before conversion, since I guess it's the source file it uses to generate the one in "Documents\MyGames".

Uhm, you were suppose to edit it first, you were suppose to edit it and put the ini file in Deadlight folder, and set it's attributes as 'read only' so game will not overwrite it. It should be fine i suppose.

You are 100% correct. The way I mentioned worked becuse uninstaller left the unrealengine folder untouched, so when I installed it again it took the value from there, but it does not work with a clean install, so no, that method I mentioned does not work either.

Thanks for the awesome work, but I share the above opinion also (not only for this game's conversion)... This is just an idea, but the small progress window's background should be a solid color or a very faint and washed-out image, to make the text as readable as possible...

It says you already have newer version of VC, so there's no point on installing older one. Just ignore it
