Titanic Adventure out of Time crack?

I've found on some site an information that someone has made a crack for this game, yet instead of a download link there was only this:

Can someone tell me what does it mean? Is it something I can patch my game .exe with? How can I use it?

This is for a different version but you can find the same byte sequence at physical offset 00035563 (= virtual address 00436163) in the TI.EXE you've uploaded. Funnily enough, the actual patch is hidden as it is taken for HTML code, :) but in the page source you can see that the bytes 74 1A (JE ...) should be changed to 90 90 (NOP NOP). (All values in hexadecimal.)

Can you patch the executable yourself?

I'm afraid I have literally no knowledge of how to patch any executables. I have never tried anything like that before and I don't even know how to do this and where to start. :(

Okay, try this patch.

I have placed it in the main Titanic folder, where the TI.exe file is stored. I opened the patch via cmd and all I see is an error: "Patching TI.EXE - CRC error!". Am I doing something wrong?

So, can someone help me? Because of this CRC error I can't patch my exe.

I followed Joe's Instructions & using hex edit i patched the bytes to 90 90 as per instructions. Try it out & see if it works for you.

I try it on my Titainc adventure out of time and it won't work it gets an scripting error when I hit ok to pass the error there is just a red box and no game I have to push the windows button on the keyborod and right click on the game to exit it so do you have an answer so my game will work with out the cds.

check your exe vs the one posted in first topic & see if same version. if not then that might be the reason for the error??

Oh dear, I see I have not returned to write if that crack did indeed work or not.

Well yes, it did! The game works flawless now without the need to put cd everytime it asks. Thank you once again! :)

It seems different Titanic copies have different .exes, resulting in many other copies being not compatible with the above crack made for my version of the game.

Because of that I decided to make a no cd patch for the version of the game present in the replacement installer of play-old-pc-games.com (http://www.play-old-pc-games.com/2013/02/06/titanic-adventure-out-of-time/) site.

I have also added a small readme which should help people in patching their own version of the game.
