The Testament of Sherlock Holmes DVD9 -> 2xDVD5 Converter

FreeArc need to be installed on your system.

1. Install the game,

2. Download attachment, extract completely(wherever you want) and launch converter.exe.

3. Select the drive, where the TEMP folder should be and click on "Convert"
-> You can enable Create Iso function

4. Burn temp folder or burn the ISO file

DVD1 = 4.18 GB
DVD2 = 2.15 GB

FINISHED!!!:D:D:D

Time: 20 min :D

Sorry tested only on my hard disc...
Installation over DVD didnt worked properly.
-> now fixed.

It worked perfect. Impressive compression. I didn't know that after doing the integration, there was no need to put the most Setup.cab along with the installer. :p
I used the conversion with my Setup.cab if you do not mind. :D

By the way yener, what program you used to extract the sound buttons?
I try to use the Frogwares .pak file Extractor/Maker, the files were extracted, but I do not which tool to use to open the files extracted. :confused:

I took a picture in the game, then I cut and edited in photoshop CS5. I saved as png and converted to .cur using IcoFX. :D I can send you if you want. ;)

here is a little program called GetIcons V2.5. It will extract icons from programs, dlls, etc. very usefull and way easier then Fabioddq's method :rolleyes:

Thanks for the program, I will try and i have hope that works, the hard part is finding the mouse icon in the archives. The only game I saw a mouse icon was in Torchlight I & II. ;)

thx for the help...but its not working like wanted.
only showing icons cursors in exe/dll files.

ive got special tool to rip everything from archive files.
it would be really useful for this operation.
i cant remember its name :(

first off its a cab file, which can be opened with winrar, freearc, 7zip. Yener's Converter is NOT like the CI versions where you can go in & change background images etc. Opening up the Converter1.cab file you end up with a folder ( TSH_DVD1 ) and CompressFiles, CopyfromPF, which is used by the converter to know what files to copy & what files to compress & exclude from process. The Folder only has 2 EXE's and INF file & ico file. Completely useless to you as it wont let you make any changes. Better off using the latest CI & make your own Conversion.

can i remove the foreign languages from the "000" folder before compiling. (example: sounds_fr.pak)

Also, how can i increase the compression.

you can delete the sounds_XX.pak files you DONT want, however doesnt decrease size of dvd1 much.. Originally with all 4.1 GB after removing all extra files then equals 3.78GB
You'll never get it to fit on 1xdvd5 if thats what your asking as still too much data to compress down to 1 dvd5. dvd1=3.78GB dvd2=2.15GB

there is no ISS file with yener's converter.. you just run it select where you dvd image is, & installed game folder, where you want the output files to go, it does everything else for you.

i think i found your program, tested with C3_2xDVD9_4xDVD5 and by screenshot you can see what it was able to extract. Also works with rar files.
