Sleeping Dogs DVD9 to 2xDVD5
Script by: yener90 / Setup theme by: REVO

*Game OST and Trailer was used as background
*Setup supports these languages: English, German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, French, Russian, Portuegese, Polish.

History

V1.00 - Initial Release
V1.01 - Classic and Dragon themes merged and additional files were given in folder to save ebandwidth.
V1.02 - Fixed Video.avi's location
V1.03 - Autorun modified visually, added Russian, Portuegese, Polish support.
V1.03c - Deleted Extract Setting to avoid problems from setup.ini, you can do the same by simply opening ini file and delete [ExtractSettings] and it's contents.
V1.03C Fix - Compression level changed, diskslice value changed.

1. Go to installed game's folder and move redist folder to somewhere else.

2. Download the attachment below. Also, download updated script below and overwrite it on the current one (the one inside SLP_DOGSV103C folder. Open installerscript.iss with Unicode version of INNO and change the following line according to your game's installed location:

#define ProgramFiles "F:\Program Files (x86)\Square Enix\Sleeping Dogs"

3. Create 2 folders and name them as SLP_1 SLP_2. Move:

-Setup.cab, Setup.dll, Setup.exe, Setup.ico, Setup.ini to SLP_1

Install-1a, 1b, 1c bin files to SLP_1
Install-2a, 2b, 2c bin files to SLP_2

4. Copy autorun.inf and Setup.ico files to all SLP_* folders, edit autorun.inf like below except DVD1

OPEN=0
ICON=Setup.ico

5. Now move redist folder to SLP_2.

6. Burn them to DVDs, and enjoy installer music pack during install.

Additional

1. 3rd DVD

According to updates or DLC packs, you may need to burn 3DVD for the game.

2. Second installer theme.

I merged 2 setups to one, and gave necessary files in a folder named 'BONUS' for Classic Theme. Read the txt file inside of it, and in the end you'll have second theme.

Alternatively, you can use Classic's installer background with Dragon Theme, so technically you can have 4 different themed setups !

I updated conversion to V101, merged to installers, and put important part of classic theme as BONUS.

Read carefully both description in the thread, and in the BONUS folder to make classic theme. Basically you'll overwrite 4 files, that's all.

After i compile my instaled game i have:
Install-1a, 1b, 1c bin
Install-2a, 2b, 2c bin and Install-3a.
Should i create another folder, named SLP_3 with Install-3a in it and make the third iso ?

I updated the game at version 1.4. Need 3xDVD5?
Limited edition of the game contain high resolution pack, for a total of 10 gb. I don't know if this conversion is for this version of the game

EDIT : REV0 in the conversion folder there aren't file autorun.inf
Anyway I compile the limited edition with patch 1.4, seem work, DVD1 = 4.31 gb, DVD2 = 4.17 gb. Now I try to install the game

Conversion works with every edition gentlemen. I made the conversion without patch. INNO will create and split content to 1.5GB approx for each bin files, so if you have larger content than 2 DVD5 you'll have to burn 3 DVDs.

btw I'v got a problem i think its some bug is from CI not conversion
Let me explain:
I download this theme from REVO for testing only packed files with arc,pcf,srep,arc compresion to 5 files (data1,2,3,4,5)
Edited the Setup.ini and added [ExtractSettings] section
FreeArcFile1={src}\Data1.bin;DestDir:{app};Disk:1; PrecSrep:1 etc.
(even make it like this : FreeArcFile1={src}\Data1.bin;DestDir:{app};Disk:1)
In precomp version i wrote 0.38 (the version what i use to compression)
Evrything fine ,setups run nice ,extraction goes on but to moment when progress bar reach it 70/80% and Data4 Setup freezes music plays with no problem ,check it folder when i want to install i saw %freearctmp% (something like that and Data4.srep 0kb size ,looked into Task manager evrything runs nice no info like program stop responding,app crash etc. I can wait like that 2,4 10h and nothing happens setups stops ,first time i got bug or problem like this with CI
I hope someone gonna found a solution

Edited the Setup.ini and added [ExtractSettings] section

Is really Hard to make a REAL (not copy&paste) installation script, without the cab file, and copy&paste stuff from another games?
Is really a bad idea to make a Copy&Paste from install to install...

First of all i'll give you some info about INNO.

If a value contains semi-colon in the beginning means it wont be used, nor necessary. The values you gave wont be used in conversion nor necessary, for example SonicGenerations.ico.

I could simply erase it, but i dont need to erase it.

What you will see ? Cab file and it's contents. Also regkeys will come in handy.

EVERYONE including yener, me, senseman, fabio, name the converter, will use same script because we are working with yener's script. It's working pretty well, and he keeps it updated, so converters only deal with visual stuff and other things.

Script is done by yener, he's updating his script every time, and every converter use it without problem, because why it exist.

if you would be so smart, you would know that those lines completely disabled.
you can also delete them.
i only left them because special games require such lines.
for them i need to activate them.

Yes he could have 'maybe' asked in a better mannor but I really dont think he meant anything personally to you REV0 or anyone else here.
It is obvious he doesnt understand the scripts but that is no reason to go off at him. He just wanted to know why some of the script seemed like it shouldnt be there. He now knows thanks to you REV0.

for one NEVER extract the conversion files into game folder.
use a temporary folder for the conversion files the results can be moved into the temp folder names afterwards.

Conversion file must be in different folder of the game. Re-apply conversion.

That depends where you got this warning. If you got the warning in first parts of installation this means you dont have 3 bin files for each folder. You cant separate bin files. They are group as a,b,c. They cant be separated. Re-apply the conversion if necessary and once you have 3 bin files, started with a, b and c in EACH folder, make ISO images and install from these Images nor from folders.

add ReserveBytes=66060288, right after DiskSpanning I think would do the trick, That's the command, but not sure about the exact number, give it a try and play with the number till you get the needed value

conversions have nothing to do with that. It uses your installed game files to make the conversion from, not files from dvd. So read post 1 again & follow all the steps.

I don't understand.The attachment folder has also other folders as languages,langsymboles,eula,and files as installer scrip,rename.bat and so on.Where should I put them?[what dvd folder?Also how do I compile?It's not mentioned in the tutorial.

1. Download 1st attachment
2. Open it with Winrar
3. Create a folder in your desktop, to do this, right click on your desktop and select 'New' then 'Folder'
4. Back to your winrar and select all content, or ctrl + a to select them all.
5. Drag them to new folder
6. Download second attachment
7. Open it winrar
8. Extract it to folder and overwrite current one
9. Apply the rest of the conversion as written.

If you want more detailed explanation, video tutorial, or want me to make conversion and send you by post, sorry i cant help you.

no need for the folders in old setup game just the install the game and conversion when you finish the conversion the game the bin will be create automatically

you need the make to folders DVD1 and DVD2

DVD1 it will be like this : Setup1*.bin files, Setup.dll,Setup.exe, Setup.ico, Setup.ini,Setup.cab, autorun.inf

DVD2 it will be like this : Setup2*.bin, Setup.ico,autorun.inf

you dont need them. delete them all before starting the conversion process

It wont work, you have to install the game and after apply the conversion on installed game content.

Compile time: 27 min.
Installation time: 13 min.

every file has a sompression limit. I we compress files until the size we want, the games would be in a Floopy Disk, no DVDs mate.

You can't modify the installer (the original one), but, you can install the game over original one, then apply my conversion to make it 2 or 3 DVD5s.

didnt work with v1.8. got error at 70,9%:
"checksum of compressed data is not the same as checksum of original data"

the conversion revo (main game+1.7 update+all dlc) 3xDVD5,,
it's something wrong in the conversion?
i want to make 2xDVD5 conversion..

i have 1 problem
i make the setup and install no problem
but then i run the game then game not working

i think this is registry problem
