1. Download the attachment below (end of the thread) Open installerscript.iss with Unicode version of INNO and change the following line according to your game's installed location:

#define ProgramFiles "F:\New folder"

Save it and compile.

2. Move:

Install-1a, 1b, 1c bin files to ME3_1
Install-2a, 2b, 2c bin files to ME3_2

if I put install a-c and install.exe, setup.cab, setup.exe onto disc 1 it exceeds total disc capacity.

Not possible 3 bin files equal 4600mb and max dvd5 capacity is something 4700 so you have 100 free place. You will put setupcab install and setup exe ico file not other folders etc. İf problem persists change the line with 15500000 to 145with zeros

Yeah. Me too.. do we need older versions of inno setup?

pakrat2k2
06-03-2012, 22:23
no the problem is the [Languages] section of the InstallerScript.iss

CHANGE MessagesFile: Languages to MessagesFile: .\Languages then the compiler will NOT look to your default INNO Unicode languages folder which DOES NOT have all the languages listed in the script, BUT the Language folder WITH the script DOES have them.

Then you wont get as many error messages when compiling the script.

you can use 7-zip / winrar, whatever.. just make the archive with default name then rename it, move back into folder with setup.exe, ini, ico etc.

yener90

ignore those language errors!
its because some text not translated to every language.
it also not required in the setup ;).

;#define ProgramFiles "F:\New folder"
-> delete just the sign ';' in front of and change "F:\New folder" to your game folder.
then it should work fine.

for me looks like this:
#define ProgramFiles "F:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Mass Effect 3"

The autorun.ini does not automatically open the first DVD,

Emparador,

Dont play with language.iss. Now, redownload the delete older one open install iss with UNICODE OF INNO SETUP and edit installed location of the game

Zyo,

Even you got errors with x64 setup will complege without problems. In x64 based system both versions are installed. Dont mind errors you have, like you shouldnt mind language errors durin inno compile.....

To CE Edition users, OST has additional700 mb in bonus folder, because of tha you may see additional bin files for DVD4

And ill edit autorun thing to be more specific, it seems there are people who dont know open=0 applies for dvds except 1.

Hi how to create these files

Install-1a, 1b, 1c bin files to ME3_1
Install-2a, 2b, 2c bin files to ME3_2
Install-3a, 3b, 3c bin files to ME3_3 if exist
Install-4a, 4b, 4c files to ME3_4 if exist

pakrat2k2
08-03-2012, 12:38
lipchak, easy do it yourself, replace the lines you have in your post under the [REGISTRY] section if the InstallerScript.iss file. Then test to see if it creates the correct reg entry for your language choice.

Hi how to create these files

Install-1a, 1b, 1c bin files to ME3_1
Install-2a, 2b, 2c bin files to ME3_2
Install-3a, 3b, 3c bin files to ME3_3 if exist
Install-4a, 4b, 4c files to ME3_4 if exist

edit the InstallerScript.iss, change first line to where you installed the game.
The \" MUST BE THERE. save the file, then compile it. This will then create the Install-* files, and you move them according to directions in first post.

Is there a way to compress it to 2DVD5? I have english version, and it's 10.5 gb, when i compress it than it's 9.78, so it's not a very good compression :(

pakrat2k2
08-03-2012, 12:52
2 ways to do it.

1. edit iss script & change your install game path ( line #1 )
2. dont touch ISS script, but use external compression ( files listed in setup.ini ), BUT
you have to play around with archives so they fit onto 3xdvd5.. Biogames\movies contain Bik files @ 3.19GB they dont compress at all. CookedPCConsole folder contains 6.51GB of data you will need to compress that with freearc into smaller 4GB chunks.

So NO real way to get it to fit onto 2xdvd5, smallest MAY be 3xdvd5 but depends on which version you have of the game. Its all about the archives & how you compress them wether you can get it all to fit on 2xdvd5 or 3xdvd5

Emparador,

Dont play with language.iss. Now, redownload the delete older one open install iss with UNICODE OF INNO SETUP and edit installed location of the game

The error itself seems to be related to special characters. What are the lines I have to modicar within install.iss?

Thx, bye.:)

Stop playing the conversion, it works fine tested more than ten times i told you to edit installation location of the games you will edit this line with unicode of inno setup, end of story.

Game has option to change language and subtitle option in options menu no additional regkeys required.

And i dont like resampled low quality cutscenes so this conversion is 4 dvd and cutscenes dont deserve to be low quality, trust me. Try harder tou can fit it into one floppy if youre interested.

Pakrat, no they dont read dude.

I added a warning to the beginning of the guide about using the proper version of Inno Setup. I suggest that you guys start all conversions with a list repeating of the most important details, the obstacles over which most people may trip - or already showed to often trip.

After the conversion is finished, I still don't know which files ( other than bin files of course) must be moved to "ME3_1" folder?
If I launch install.exe i get this message "Setup couldn't find necessary files".
Can anybody help? Thanks.

Good job,REVO.
I faced one problem which is the language ..I have installed the game originally, in French but after the conversion it's launched in English.Help plz.

Registry problem i believe.

Open Registry Editor, go to SOFTWARE, then Wow6432Node (if it's 64 based OS) or directly Origin Games.

The folder's name must be numbers, i dont know if it's the same tho, find Mass Effect 3's entry if exist.

Do you have this (screenshot from original N7 Edition):

If so change en_US to fr_FR

sarmadi

No not at all. There's no third line which notices the language.

REV0

Ok, one question and one advice then:

1. Do you have Origin Games folder and 'numbered' folder name ? If so are numbers are same ?

Right click under of them, New - String Value.

Write: Locale as name of new value, double click it, type fr_FR as value data

Tell me the results.

PS (To create regfix for INNO i need to know that numbers are same or even exist

For your question the answer is: No I have not Origin Games folder.
For the advice I did so should I do the conversion again???

If it's possible install the game from Origin, so you'll have unique regkeys, if the name of folder is different from mine, i'll figure something else, otherwise i'll update the script and use same Origin Game folder and that numbered folder

that's what i meant, change cm:language to fr_FR

you should also change the same line in registry editor, if game is still installed. With it, you can play french
