Fable III (DVD9 to 2x DVD5)

1) Extract 'Fable3_2xDVD5.7z' contents

2) Copy DVD9's contents to 'FABLE3_2xDVD5\F3_1' folder (don't overwrite the contents)

3) Move from 'FABLE3_2xDVD5\F3_1' folder to 'FABLE3_2xDVD5\F3_2' folder the following files/folders:

Media4.cab file
Media5.cab file
Media6.cab file
Media7.cab file
Media8.cab file
G4W folder
DirectX folder
MSVCRT folder

4) Burn or make isos with label names as temp folders

Note: Game for Windows - LIVE, DirectX... are installed automatically

I forgot to change inno setup directives AppName & AppVerName in the script. The properties don't affect the setup process

However,the exe re-compiled with right properties is attached :D

i corrected the package. it was the wrong 'setup.exe' inside... sorry... the version that is now online works for me with the german only version. tested on win7 32 bit.

I like the way this conversion was done but I don't like the boxshot as the image in the setup...

HellRazor, depends on the inno script. If the image is specified within the script, simply change picture to one that you want.

Well, from what I've seen, image is embedded into the .msi file that @peterf1999 provided for conversion.

notes from peter... loong ago..

1) Extract the streams and storages from MSI database:

msix Game.msi /out .\


2) Edit & save with images editor (Photoshop is so good ) the dialog and banner bitmaps:



Binary.WixUI_Bmp_Dialog
Binary.WixUI_Bmp_Banner

3) Remove the original stream files from MSI database (binary table):



msidb -d Game.msi -k Binary.WixUI_Bmp_Dialog

msidb -d Game.msi -k Binary.WixUI_Bmp_Banner


4) Add the new bitmaps files to MSI database (binary table):



msidb -d Game.msi -a Binary.WixUI_Bmp_Dialog

msidb -d Game.msi -a Binary.WixUI_Bmp_Banner
