Prince of Persia - The Forgotten Sands™ (DVD9 to 1x DVD5) *EURO Multi 6 FULL*

1) Make 'temp\The Forgotten Sands' folders

2) Copy DVD9 contents to 'temp\The Forgotten Sands'

3) Extract & overwrite 'POP_TFS_1xDVD5.rar' contents to 'temp'

4) Launch repack.bat & wait...

5) Install the game from DVD9, launch FREEARC browse game's folder & select the following files:

DataPC_StreamedSounds.forge
DataPC_actors.forge
DataPC_24-28.forge
DataPC_19-22.forge
DataPC_13-18.forge
DataPC_08-12.forge
DataPC_04-07.forge
DataPC_01-03.forge

Output archive: POP_TFS
Compression: -mx -ld400m

6) Move 'POP_TFS.arc' to 'temp\The Forgotten Sands'

7) Edit setup.ini in 'temp\The Forgotten Sands':

Change CheckMD5=Y entry to CheckMD5=N

8) Burn or make ISO from 'temp' folder (temp content is DVD's root) with label name of your choice

I tried to convert it to 2 cabs (2 disks) using ISCAB 15.0.0.498, but the game uses 16.0.0.400 and when I switch to disk2 I get CRC error to all the files. where is the problem, in using different iscab versions?

Try to change CheckMD5=Y entry to CheckMD5=N in setup.ini

If it still doesn't work, the cabs are damaged

I do not know why it does not extract the file frearc automatically!

Do you have a bad previous installation?

open regedit and then delete the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Prince of Persia - The Forgotten Sands

delete the following folder:
Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\EAEAAF8C-8E86-4CAC-AC08-1A33EDCA34AC

and retry

I've tried all ways!
I think I'll compress it again, who knows if it's not a bug!
if it fails again, the way I do it manually to decompress the file frearc!
you have more suggestions of what can be?

Try this:

1) Extract & overwrite POP_TFS.7z contents to DVD's root

2) Delete IS.exe

3) Convert archive to SFX and rename it to POP_TFS_arc.exe

was because I had put the option make.exe,
I then compress it again without this option and it worked!

No,the files of others languages are only ~ 80 mb

It is the first time this has ever happened to me, but it was also the first time I tried to do it on Windows 7.

Do I have to do it again ? I would think that it would work better on desktop.

I have tried to see hidden files, but its just not there ...

I recommend that you use a proper file manager like FAR Manager or Total Commander; those programs don't take the user for stupid.

First off NEVER have the file your creating in the same folder where your compressing with freearc. Put it in the root of the drive, or on another harddrive partition.

Whoops, I'll try to remember that tip.
By the way, do I need freearc to install this game then, too ?
I haven't needed it so far when I've had to used freearc, but then I had to create .exe file, not .arc file and I don't know how Windows will handle it.
